If you could get past the shitty physics, lack of unique weapons, terrible level designs that make you hit the roof or bars and that the game runs at 7 fps.
It was just a better game overall.

3 was a different game overall I felt. Good but not as fun.
No weapon pickups, you start with (or have to buy to use in campaign) all weapons and they share ammo.
Levels are much more straight forward and open as everything is a road floating above a backdrop instead of terrain, kind of boring compared to 1 and 2.
But it ran at 60 fps smoothly from what I remember, but that was 15 years ago.
