The rules behind the time travel also bother me because of how inconsistent they are, and here's two examples
In the first case, link can buy magic beans as adult link to reach new places to buy magic beans as a child, which are then planted in various locations 7 years in the future when they can be used as a child because there won't be anything there if you planted something there before
In the second case, adult link learns about the guy in the windmill who's annoyed about elves and learns the song of storms from the developers of the past. Link then goes back in time and plays the song causing the guy to learn and time travel and play the song in the future as a child. This is a clock where the man teaches the man the song, and link teaches link the song. In other words the event in the future happens before the game would assume both events were destined to happen.
If the logic used on the plants was used in the first place, then the guy couldn't possibly die until young link played it in the time loop
