Now that the 3DS has been discontinued, I finally decided to pop for a cheap refurbished N2DS and just finished installing basic homebrew such as FBI and the Homebrew launcher. Also got my first 3DS and NDS carts dumped and working, currently in the middle of dumping my collection.
What games do you all recommend? I'll try anything which seems worth a shot

I have a 3DS but portables especially with rechargeable batteries age faster than old consoles. My PSP battery finally ate the dust, but emulation for it is fantastic so if I can find one its not the loss the 3DS would be.
Haven't play Etrian yet.

Could you not just put your sd card into your computer and transfer saves that way. Pretty sure saves are stored on the SD.

I have no fucking clue. I have two 3ds, both hacked but I just want to transfer my saves of some specific games before I give it to my nephew.
Yea just moving it on Windows works fine.
I didn't know that. That is even more of a worry. Pretty sure my PSP can play off mains power without a battery and I may be can find a third party one, but Nintendo I dunno. I know the 3D aspect could bonker emulation some, but its not like its powerful and nearly nothing used the 3D or was worth using the 3D on.
what folder do you move? where are the saves stored in the sd card so I can transfer them to the right place?
I think there is a Nintendo 3DS folder they are in. I can't remember that well since its been a few years since I moved mine. And in my case I copied everything because I had to move to a bigger SD card.

Persona Q assumes you have played both Persona 3 and Persona 4 for up to 3/4 of each game. You can play it if you haven't but you'll miss out on all the call backs and familiarity between each respective cast.
Your saves are tied to your sd card and nintendo network account. (you need to link it on the first console if you haven't yet) You will have to do a system transfer and make sure both systems are hacked.

If they are both hacked, and your nintendo account is linked on the first console then you are set and just look up a system transfer guide. Should work like a non hacked console so your saves should be safe. Just make sure you click the transfer all button instead of the quick transfer method. If you use the quick transfer you may have to reinstall all your cias again after the system transfer since they aren't going to transfer over. This might also affect your saves so it's better to be on the cautions side of things.
Note that you might need to have a second sd card similar or higher than the first sd card in order to transfer your games and saves since it's sending the data from the first sd card to the second.
