Why are gamers migrating from PC to Consoles?

Weird, the exact opposite is happening around me.
The Y chromosome is slowly withering away
They are not. It's going vise-versa.
You know I thought consoles would be able to play games, but here it seems they can't even do what they're designed for, 30 fps on a game? That's unplayable.
gamers have died, either from commiting suicide, getting a job or having their pc-s destroyed by parents. console influx is just normies trying to take the scraps
they arent, thats like going from steak to poop
>install game
>click play
>frame counter shows drops
>lower settings
>still a couple drops
>turn off some settings
>game crashes
>look up solution
>'open files and fuck around with some numbers you don't understand, might break other stuff though lol'
>do all this, game actually works now
>realise you don't feel like playing anymore
vs.
>press play
>start playing
>have fun
>Framerate drops
>Now you can't do shit because you're a console
>Get yelled at by brand loyalists when you complain about it
Expensive, unpredictable jump in component prices
No games
Long wait for ports
Some games never get ported at all
Shitty game performance without troubleshooting due to bad developers not caring about pc optimization
Shitty OS that actively tries to break itself every day
And simply put people don’t want to sit at computers anymore. Consoles do what their pc can do gaming-wise and their phones can do everything else PCs can do
>order shit
>eat shit
wow you rly made your point
Pc gaming is a meme. It’s never going to be accepted by society no matter how the fats wish it so
I'm doing the exact opposite
Personally it's because I realized that no matter how much I pay for a top of the line PC it will be held back by consoles. Sure, PC ports of console games do have mild improvements in frame rate and resolution but rarely are texture, models, lighting, ect. improved on PC. I also like physical media and trophies more than Steam's digital downloads and achievements.
PC is the Linux of gaming.
Because not everyone is retarded enough to justify spending thousands of dollars on a PC just to compete with 400 dollar consoles.
Because its harder to track pc sales because the market is spread over discrete components, prebuilts, custom builders, and those three again but second hand.
it's literally the only accepted form of gaming, because it makes big bucks and has cool LAN parties that fill stadiums. Hell, my parents already tried to get me to buy a PC instead of Nintendos and Playstations back in 1990s, because not only would've it been way more practical multitool for the entire family, but also the games were already dirt cheap back then compared to console counterparts.
PC gaming has a higher bar of entry. More expensive and unless you buy a pre-built more technical knowledge is required. I think it's easy but your average casual doesn't want to deal with building a pc.
You can literally buy a PS4 Pro killer for 300 dollars this day and age.
1000 bucks has always been my absolute limit, and that grants you a very high-end device you should not need to upgrade in any way for a good 5+ years.
t. built my current PC in 2011, only replaced GPU in early 2017.
PC gaming is LITERALLY cheaper. Not only in the long run, on which it would totally stomp consoles 6 to 0, but also immediately.
Second, you don't always need to "build" a PC. You can just go and BUY one, be it brand new or used. Desktop or laptop.
Hell, my friend was a console-tard from 2009 to last month. He just bought a 599 USD Asus TUF laptop, and he's been amazed by the much better visuals and performance, replaying games he already beat on PS4 because of that.
One is for gaming, and the other is for porn, spreadsheets, work e-mails and 4channel.com.
Can you figure out which is which?
>PS4 Pro killer for 300 dollars
No, you cant. Stop with this ridiculous meme.
most gamers have always been on consoles
>file name
>4channel.com
you need to go back
>press play
>start playing
>have fun
Have you not played a console game made after 2008?
After AMD announced their new 5000s series CPUs, I switched to consoles becuase of how much they were overpriced like most PC equipment. My friend bought a PS4 for $300, while I had to spend $500 extra each year to play the latest games on medium 1440p.
based
>press play
>wait for the system to update
>press play
>wait for game to update on slow ass hard drive
>finally start playing games and its 1080p @ 30fps with ridiculous load times
>slow ass hard drive
>load times
Where have you been the past year? Consoles will have eliminated these in 1 month.
Consoles? Plural? No, PS5 will have eliminated this. Microsoft has a long way to catch up.
>play game
vs
>press play to watch "game"
>but rarely are texture, models, lighting, ect. improved on PC
LOL
They aren't you dumb faggot
I'm right any you know it
A PC is for everything, sorry retard. The only thing a PC can't do is transport you places. Everything else on the entire planet you can do.
terrible comparison considering linux is dogshit and PC is better than everything
>consoles are so good that even Gabe was trying to get in on their success
>it's literally the only accepted form of gaming
please go outside
>Snoy believes this blatant meme
More like people try to get both and many reserve PC for older titles (emulators, rereleases) and other low tech spec titles such as indie games while reserving the higher tech spec games for consoles for guaranteed results.
I personally am going to switch from console to PC next generation. I have an old laptop my brother gave me cause he did not want it anymore and I use it more as a console with it hooked up to the TV with an Xbox One controller and wireless keyboard and mouse playing titles low tech spec titles. I do have an Xbox One for games my PC cannot handle. I may get a PS4 with arcade tickets for certain titles like the Uncharted original trilogy remastered but then I will trade that in for a Switch.
I hope to get a mid-tower desktop by the middle of next year.
That's a PC with a controller tho
