No Desmond, Layla, or faggy optional objectives. The game basically ruins any if chance of a present day assassin because of the whole Abstergo setting.

it would be Tenchu I guess?
wish tenchu Z would get a PC port

Isn't that all already gone?
Thought they gave up on it but havent played any of these games in years.

i feel like syndicate minimized it but why does evie have to ship with the creepy indian stalker

>Do you guys have any idea of how much better this series would be without the animus, futuristic, genetic virtual reality bullshit?
yeah it's called Ghost of Tsushima and it's great.

Agreed, it was fucking laughable in Origins. Fuck off Jewbisoft.

I miss Desmond.

>Do you guys have any idea of how much better this series would be without the animus, futuristic, genetic virtual reality bullshit?
No. I would rather not play a bland, generic faux-historical game with nothing interesting going on under the hood.

You people aren't fans of Assassin's Creed. You just want a historical RPG, and you'll drop AC the moment a competitor comes along. Wanting IPs to remove the aspects that make them unique is a bad idea long term.

It was a cool idea and I was actually interested in the first civ and abstergo until brotherhood which was where the series turned into filler in my opinion

Me too. Once they killed him the modern day segments became worthless.

Are you one of those retards who thinks theres an actual plot going on anymore? The modern day plot is just fluff for a series with no end.

they destroyed any continuity after they killed desmond, the "modern" aspect of assasins creed is foerever fucked. When I started odyseey and I saw two girls were doing the whole thing like it's downloading an app and putting some googles I knew there was no fucking point in this.

>Desmond's quest was centuries in the making just so he could go in a cave and sacrifice his life to put a big shield around the Earth to protect it from a solar flare
>the Michael Fassbender movie is canonized in Origins logs
>Kassandra (suck my dick, Alexiosfags) sat in an underwater cave for over 2300 years waiting to give a staff to Layla and Layla turns out to be an irresponsible cunt who fucking murders her support staff in Animus-induced rage fits
It's kinda funny when you think about the sheer scope of the real world stuff and it all manages to be fucking retarded.

The entire point of modern shit was to push their multiplayer
It was supposed to be each player was in the modern day (your homebase) and would push for paid ypgrades via the cash shop but it turns out multiplayer wasn't favoured

We know but Ubisoft is comprised of hacks that are only good at corrupting amazing ideas.

Having you fight supernatural shit in Odyssey is the highest point the series has been, it allows them to do funny stuff with gameplay and historical elements without it seeming retarded.

Thank god Ghost of Tsushima ensured that Assassins Creed Japan will never be made

this

>layla
Fuck, don't even get me started

So you mean it should be a random assassin game with no templars where we fight for BLM or some shit?

>where we fight for BLM
Obsessed. But fuck the Templar shit, you kill so many of them in AC2 that it's baffling that there's still so many in Brotherhood/Revelations.

Yes but the fact that the gameplay is boring and flat is the major problem

I love all the sci-fi elements on paper they have just been squandering the concept. They need to fully embrace it, instead they're listening to faggots like OP and trying to minimize it which ultimately makes it worse for both camps because it's unsatisfying for the people who like it and it's still just "there" for people who want it gone.

Never played a single ass creed game, is the franchise good? The closest thing i have played is prince of persia

>Do you guys have any idea of how much better this series would be without the animus, futuristic, genetic virtual reality bullshit?
Of course I fucking do. The more I enjoy an AC game the more the modern day shit ruins it for me. Isu shit too

The animus was the only cool part of this shit.

AC series on steam is on sale, I wanna get back into multiplayer, which AC has the best Multiplayer/ Active playerbase?

It could have worked if they put some effort into it. But Desmond's story took forever, they didn't spend much time making the present time interesting to play around in, and once Desmond's story was told they had no idea where to go from there.
So now it's this dumb relic that they feel like they have to mention every now and then.
They should have either forgotten about it completely, or made the present day more interesting. Like, what if you revisited the ruins of the places the past-protagonist had run around in. Or you could sneak into Abstergo warehouses and steal tech, that would augment the simulation somehow. All you can do 90% of the time is talk to people and look at objects.

It was interesting in the first two games. They can’t avoid it now

They're decent enough.
It's the typical Ubisoft approach, where you get a big map, loads of stuff to collect and side-missions to do, and then a main story-line that's the least interesting bit. They're fine "switch off your brain and play" games.
The main problem is that they've been afraid to do much with the series since AC2. The following games have been very similar to the ones preceding them. They've gotten very lazy regarding gameplay and story.

She had a phatty in Origins her they made her ass flatter in Odyssey
