No screen, HDMI only

I've wanted Nintendo to make a non meme console since Gamecube.

>pro controller included
for $140 you must be fucking joking

Back when Iwata was a live and the Switch was known as NX, Iwata described it as an "ecosystem," which sounds like it would be a group of consoles with games that are compatible with all the consoles. We already have 2 iterations of the switch, I can see a stationary one being a thing too.

I was waiting for literally this but near the start of covid i just bit the bullet and bought a normal switch, and I actually play it in handheld mode way more than i thought i would

Use your brain. The controllers have a huge markup. The Switch lite is already $200. Now remove the screen, battery, and replace the built in joy cons with a pro controller, and it can easily reach around that price.

would be a nice companion to my lite

Switch is not the NX.
Switch was built by retards.
Iwata knew what he was doing.
Drift wouldn't have happened with Iwata in control.

Handheld mode is literally all it's good for unless you're doing coop. I can't wrap my head around getting a Switch over a PS4/Xbone if you want couch sp games which are the only ones that make sense for it, since all multiplayer is better on PC.
>no joycons
Deconfirmed by all the recent joycon variant patents.
>pro controller included
Lol no.
>$140
For an upgraded version to compete with PS5 and SeX? AHAHAHA no. Face it, never happening. You'll either get a $400 Xbone tier dock only console which makes zero sense or an upgraded handheld.

Wii U controller was half of the price of the shitty Switch controller, and it had twice as much of battery life.
Switch is a joke.

I should make a new case for my Vita TV and try to sell it as a switch TV.

increase price by $60 and add smash + all dlc

is that a vita tv

I'd do $180. FUCKING FUND IT NINTENDO.

$199 and I'd be fine

it would still have no games so what's the point

i will now buy your console

A Nintendo Switch version of the Vita TV is what I've wanted. Who even plays games "on the go" anyway?

This has been my favorite gaming hardware.

Wait, what? You got sauce on that? Not that I don't believe you; I just didn't hear.

There's no such thing as a Nintendo console with no games.

I bought a brand new Vita TV for $30. These would cost Nintendo pennies to produce.

there is when it's games are ports that are the worst version available

>I don't need portable
>I wanted shitty graphics and no games
???

>Who even plays games "on the go" anyway?
~80% of Switch owners. One of the reasons for the Switch was so they could put both their handheld and console IPs on one system. If you make a console-only variant of it then the purpose is defeated since certain IPs, like Animal Crossing and Pokemon, and other grindy games (JRPGs) are simply better on a handheld.

Nvidia already made a product that costs $25 to produce (Nvidia shield) so yeah if you remove the screen, battery and planned obsolescence controllers it could be really cheap.

I'm not suggesting to stop producing the normal switch for people that want to do that, but having an option for a black box version would be great.

>graphics
Graphics are not even one of the first 3 considerations for a video game to me.

Google "joycon patent." There have been at least two that I know of in the past 2 years that were published. Pic related is the most recent from over the summer.

>I'm not suggesting to stop producing the normal switch for people that want to do that, but having an option for a black box version would be great
What else would be great is simply a more powerful handheld with a larger screen.
>muh battery
If you don't play on the go anyway, why does it matter to you? The obvious fact is that Nintendo will need hardware which can handle some next gen ports. Simply making a cut down Switch won't cut it. I can see a premium dock-only Switch but not a budget one. The lite is already the budget option.

>Pro controller
>128GB onboard storage
>LAN port
>USB C

>USB C
Why? there is no point.
USB A would be better.

Have fun with your 12 fps 4 color Atari..

Pretty much form factor. I hate the asymmetric plugs.

The shitty hardware inside the switch is capable enough. If I wanted GRAPHICS I'd play on my PC. If Nintendo had their games on PC I wouldn't even care about the Switch.

Since they will never do that a black box version is ideal for me. I'm never going to take it anywhere and the current switch dock and device are a terrible form factor. The screen and joycons are wasteful. It could be made smaller and cheaper.

The pro controller alone is $70, so are you implying that the console would only cost $70?

Knowing that Nintendo are the biggest jews on the industry they would sell it at 150 with no controller and charger included.

Outside the charger it would need a dongle for everything.

>so are you implying that the console would only cost $70?
Nvidia made the shield TV for $25 so yeah?

>switch is capable enough
If it was, there would be Hitman on it.
And REmakes.
And RE7 without using shitty streaming.

Just let me back up my save games without cloud storage, OK?

Aren't those on PC? The only thing that matters about the Switch is the first party games that don't exist anywhere else. There is no reason to use that hardware for PC games.

The shield tv is $250 on amazon, $350 with a controller. It also has half the amount of ram and storage space of the switch.

>biggest Jews
>had perfect backward compatibility until the Switch failure
>didn't release their games over and over again every generation
>even allowed you to take your digital purchases with you (until the Switch)
>allowed you to play online without paying for allowance (until the Switch)
>almost no DLC and at the same time cheap DLC (until the Switch)
You are a special kind of retard.

>The only thing that matters about the Switch is the first party games that don't exist anywhere else
Almost all good Switch 1st party games are ports from Wii U or Wii.

Eh, it might be worth it if it can be easily hacked. Fuck paying Nintendo prices for games

>when
Never. It's Nintendo. They can't give two fucks about making anything easier for the consoomer.
