FF lets the player have some choice in character build progression and is an RPG under those terms. There is no such thing in any Zelda game.

Your only choice in character build in Zelda games is whether or not to pick up certain items. There's no alternative, you just don't get them. It's like saying that classic castlevania is an RPG because you could avoid the whip powerup

I never cared for OoT mechanically but it really was a cool game, kind of "epic" in the traditional sense of the word with how huge its scale is
MM though, MM is some next level shit. The gameplay still isn't too good but I'm forever amazed about how a literal asset flip managed to have such a dense, memorable atmosphere. Maybe it's the color palette.
