>Trivializes entire game
What do?
Trivializes entire game
The game is trivial by nature
Walk away from it.
Its just a relaxing game with a tense moment here and there, if you look for difficulty you wont find it here
>What do?
Don't use them?
That's not the truck though, the bikes are only useful in the early game when you don't have roads yet. Death Stranding is also not meant to be a difficult game, the most difficulty you'll get out of it is the timed Premium Deliveries and most of them have a specific route or zipline spam that's best.
Tbf bikes and trucks are op and, in a way, more so than zips because once you learn to finesse a truck there's literally no one you can't drive to.
t.over 500 hours
I really enjoyed the game until you got the bike. Then they took it away from me, and I was excited again, but 5 minutes later you get power legs and then 5 minutes after that you get permanent bikes everywhere.
This game just makes me wish for something similar but with more of a solo focus, shit like building your own campsite and foraging so you don't starve to death. As is, the map is fucking tiny. Even without the bike, you can run across it in 30 minutes.
Why did people lie to me and pretend the game was a delivery simulator? It's a casual sim.
>roads
>not just using using lv.3 long ranger
kekked roadlet
Play offline.
>lasts extremely long, allowing you to boost through anything
>this is traded in for no cargo capacity which is meaningless since Power Skeleton exists lmao
>handling and speed already better than anything the shriveled up piece of shit Truck can ever hope to achieve
seriously though, how can a truck handle and grip SO POORLY? and god forbid you ever try to turn the boost on or off
>Playing Death Stranding
Well there's your first mistake
Can we just admit it was plain out bad game and Kojima is done?
The truck is made for the roads.
Speed legs + carriers is usually better and more versatile than bikes.
>vehicles are better than walking on foot
wow its like we didnt just develop vehicles for 6000 years just for nothing
??????????
i can just as easily boost on a highway or a path with the reverse trike
better yet, i can boost in rivers since the battery'll still keep me
dropped that shit like a black baby after watching the intro
>Can't make deliveries more than 200 KG which happen all the time past the first few hours because you're limited to what you can personally carry.
>Can't really use boost outside of straightaways because any high jumps off of minor hills equates to package damage which is a no-no if you want anything more than a B rank.
>Handling is completely pointless when you're not racing anything in the game, trucks can outrun Mules just fine, and a boosted truck has the same exact handling as one.
I literally never touched a bike again outside of the Ride one for fun once I unlocked the level 3 truck. There's no point to them, and anything you could possibly use them for you're most likely using ziplines to ignore.
Truck is made for traveling around in general, you can even go up to Elder and Weather Station using the same paths that the bikes use without any issue because boosting is that broken. You can ford any river you want because it doesn't shut down when you get submerged in water. You even have like triple the battery the bike does.
wait until you have to climb a mountain and see how the bikes help you there
>carriers
Why do these control like absolute shit if you aren't speeding down a mountain?
>that smug feeling when the seethers BAWW about a lil' delivery boi
Keep on seething on!
> only has your back capacity and 2 xl cargo if you choose the no battery version
Yeah /truck/ chads ftw. Also try pulsing accelerate for more grip with truck unless you're a pc chump who has like 2 speeds.
Ok, chump.
He can make good gameplay systems and an interesting world, he just made a stupidly tedious game and a world that is impossible to relate to. Theoretically he could make another masterpiece but there's no one willing to correct him.
Why do you faggots even keep talking about this game like a year after release if it's so terrible?
>can't use boost unless straight line
God ontop of being a roadlet tripfag you also don't know how to pulse accelerate to maintain boost while making controlled turns, wadda fucking nub.
you say that like you know your stuff and i gotta ask, have you ever went uphill in a truck? like past a 5 degree angle uphill?
Here (you) go
The bike has its trick. Play with R3 and R2 consistently to slow down and accelerate when necessary. Once you master it, it becomes very nice.
It's not an inherently bad game, is not a failure per se, the problem with Death Stranding is that so much potential is wasted. Good news, a DLC could easily fix it if Kojipro wanted to listen to the critics.
There is a skeleton where more content can exist. A new map, deepen the story of the mules. After the TLOU2 disaster, I would love to hear Troy Baker playing playable Higgs so I can learn more about the character's story. Being able to play with Fragile would also be interesting. Why not make the Cliff Beaches multiplayer deathmatches where we can be skeletons killing each other infinitely? The rich imagery of the world allows for these ideas.
They really make you feel like you're in Ride with Norman Reedus.
You can pulse boost if you feel like it, but you can do the same with the truck so there's no point. The only thing the bike has going for it is the slimmer build and extra speed at the cost of battery, size to ford rivers, and space, three things that are mandatory if you want to get anything done past the early game.
Yes, I went for the 500 LoL and did it just fine. Literally just use boost and if you get stuck swerve back and forth while boosting. The shortcut to the Elder is literally a 70 degree angle upwards which you do with the truck just fine.
>pulsing accelerate
it works only once every blue moon, the rest of the time i just slide like oily spaghetti on a silver plate
>slow down and accelerate when necessary
Fkkn this, learn to control your acceleration but I bet pc only have "fast" and "stopped" which is where the whinge comes from.
Yeah but better controlled acceleration gets shit done faster than the truck.
Unironically git gud... I main truck and literally have zero gripes with controlling it.
>gets shit done faster than the truck.
Which is pointless as the truck can get things done more efficiently, can carry more, and can navigate better while only being a few seconds behind the bikes with tons more positives. There is nothing the bike can do that the truck can't do or doesn't do better outside of go faster.
Upgrade it
>build road
>stay on grid to keep constant power
>bike controls get stiff for some reason
Dropped bikes once I got a decent amount of the map paved.
OK good luck with those 500kg loads m8
To be fair the bike is better for going uphill and turns on dime, each have there own advantages.
Sure, but the truck can still go uphill it's just simply not at the speed of what the bike can do it with, and turns on a dime aren't really that necessary from any scenario I can recall. Hell, even against Mules which would be a scenario where it makes sense to turn on a dime you and your packages will be getting shot up while on a truck you never get hit and only the truck gets damaged which is negligible because it's ridiculously tanky.
>tripfag moves goal posts
There are literally hills that the truck can't get up that the bike can, Paleontologist to Heartman comes to mind, also at points where the truck will slide downhill the bike can grip. Never been hit on a bike by MULEs due to speed.
>Paleontologist to Heartman comes to mind
Fair enough, I genuinely can't think of any hill I would be traversing on a truck that I would be on a bike personally. I'd also argue at that point it doesn't matter what vehicle you're using as anything Mountain Knot onward should only be traversed using your feet and ziplines since bikes and trucks equally have issues with both BTs and the terrain there.
No, BTs pursue you slower in vehicles and therefore are areas which become easier while using one.
It's cracked user. Try yourself to see if it's good or bad.
