This is retarded. I want to play a pure non enhancement run though leveraging external tech that doesn't require me to chop off my body parts. There is no reason why cdpr couldn't just make a pair of combat gloves that do the same thing, or upgrade your gun to make an ammo counter led. Idc, make the non cyber ware more expensive so u want to choose the chop off limbs option as an easier way out. I want the choice.

the metal detector thing is moot. obviously they would have stopped using metal detectors a long time ago seeing how half the population is made of metal. also the upgrade part probably has more functionality than telling you the ammo on your gun, could have just used a general cognitive chip to enhance your ability to mentally keep track of ammo on guns.

You could make it balanced. For instance you could get scanner goggles instead of ripping out your eyes but they would be prone to break and enemies could rip them off of you. The flip side is if someone wanted to hack you you can just take the goggles off.

Their hand isn't fucked up. It's a subdermal implant, new skin will grow over it. and you wont even be able to tel it's there. Also it's obvious that in a world where everyone has robot bits that metal detectors wouldn't be used, you'd be searched and probably have something done to render you harmless if you have dangerous implants.
