What do you want from VALVE this decade?

I'll never forgive Valve for sitting on the Left 4 Dead property for a fucking decade and not doing anything else with it.

more content for LFD and TF2!

they tried to make a 3 and a VR L4D in the 2010s , they confirmed it in the final hours of alyx

i would kill for old valve to come back, but nope they're a shitty VR/software company now.

Hopefully Turtle Rock's Back 4 Blood will be good. But it was announced years ago and theres hardly been any news about it except for breadcrumbs on their twitter account.

What happened between 13-16 seems like a huge gap

Less chasing trends with stuff like Underlords and Artifact.
More defining trends like they did in the past.

Most games are announced when it's already a few years into production to shop for a publisher. Turtle Rock announced it at the very beginning of pre-production for the sake of trying to recruit people.

L4D3 & TF3 ideally but you can't help but feel they're too shortstaffed to properly deliver and support it longterm.

For them to not ruin TF2, its the last game of theirs I still enjoy

lot of cancelled games, Valve was mess in the early 2010s

I like VR so I'm glad they actually went through the effort of produces the best desktop HMD on the market. Team Fortress 2 is my all time favorite video game and I wish they didn't abandon it, but given its age, I understand. They made genuinely good games when they actually made games and we all want more of that.

it won't be
but it will sure be shilled here
fortunately they have no fanbase besides some stupid autist or two that will probably ramble how it's better than valve's own left 4 dead when it's not

your post is shit. OP's image proves it

what trend were they chasing? they are making games they want to make. a card game and a retail release for a mod that was popular in their own game (a new "genre" btw) are low risk projects they had while working on alyx and making updates for dota 2 and cs:go. were they not chasing a trend when they started work on counter-strike originally, making a game out of a mod? or making fps games and multiplayer shooter games after that? you're contradicting yourself.

they have over 400 developers nowadays

An actual video game and the public release of source 2

they already ruined it with the intern balance changes/meet your match

I just want a portal 3

More VR stuff.

more VR games

Just start banning bots in TF2.

something OTHER than fuckin dota for once

no, alyx doesn't count, like 5 people played it

Left 4 Dead 3 is at the top of my list.

I'm surprised turtle rock is even a thing anymore considering how badly EVOLvE fucking bombed

42 000 played it

and their next game will also be VR

TF2's been dead since 2015 user, halloween is usually the biggest update of the year and this is the 5th year in a row they just threw some workshop maps on there and called it a day and had no other updates this year

fuckin battleborn and amibo festival both sold more than that, dude

Revival of Dota 2, just one good marketing push to attract new players, a good tutorial and killing the smurfs.

Gaben's steamy fucking feet.

Didn't Evolve have a little renaissance some years back? I seem to remember a lot of people coming back to play it at some point for whatever reason. "A lot of people" relatively, mind you.

That was when evolve went free to play as "evolve stage 2"

That's when i personally jumped in and yeah, it was alright. still didn't hold my interest for long and i think it barely lasted 2 months before even turtle rock themselves went "fuck it"

for all the pre-release hype evolve got, i think even something like fuckin Loadout lasted longer

>a game with 500k+ concurrent players needs a revival
oh fuck off
