40k video games

Why is it that Fantasy, the dead series, gets kino video games, but GW just whores out the 40k ip to anyone who asks for it?

They whore out Fantasy to anyone that wants it, too. Just look at Vermintide.

Vermintide 2 was goo until they ruined it with the latest upfates

But the best GW video games are Space Hulk and DoW series (until 3).

>but GW just whores out the 40k ip to anyone who asks for it?
Do they really give it out to "anyone" who asks?
Because the "irrelevant" Fantasy series currently having the best games compared to the "keep buying our shit" 40k series makes a bit of sense to me.

The game is in a better state than ever before. The bad reputation that Vermintide 2 gets is due to the lack of support, barely any new maps, etc., it has very little to do with the actual quality of the game itself. Before you mention the update that reworked stagger mechanics: It was a good idea but badly implemented and is fixed by now.

I have ~750h played, almost exclusively on Legend and Cataclysm, and most people I see complaining about the game are noobs that read somewhere from someone that the game is now "really really bad" but can't articulate why because they don't know jackshit.

That's just Zig Forums in general.

how can space hulk be the best GW video game when it is inferior to both VT1/2 in every single way?

Beastmen are fucking awful and unfun to fight but otherwise I agree with you.

>Space Hulk
Was honestly the funniest 2-3 hours I had playing video games in a long time.
It could have been a masterpiece if it wasn't for it's repetitiveness and lack of enemies.

Haven't played in a long time.
What's wrong with the beastmen though?

Wonky hitboxes, annoying archers, Minotaur boss is by far the strongest monster in the game with barely recognizable attack patterns, patrols can end a run easily if you don't get to their banners in seconds.

I don't know OP, do you really want to have a new 40k game after all the lore changes in recent years? I can't say I'm too big a fan of Guilliman's Imperium and all the other stuff.

What ISN'T wrong with the beastmen in any iteration of them in videogames?

People talk shit about Fatshark but they gave us the best video game iteration of Warhammer Fantasy yet when it comes to lore, characters and dialogue, so I have high hopes for Darktide to give us some oldschool 40k feeling back just like they did with Vermintide for Fantasy.

I mean the old Space Hulk. The Saturn version is the shit.

Considering GW isn't forcing devs to make AoS games, I doubt they would force devs to make games based on post papa smurf revival

god imagine being A human sergeant of a squad of female fire warriors

personally always liked the Astartes and the imperium in general mostly the Astartes. I've always liked their spartan feel and literally BORN TO DIE WORLD IS A FUCK mentality. I particulary like this story.

faggot

I mean there's no need to force AoS into devs just yet, they're already working on their RTS big hitter to be the next Dawn of War that launches the setting into the stratosphere. Then they can ride the new wave of popularity with spinoffs and the like.

I personally like all of the 40K factions and think they have both good and bad things going on for them.
Even the humanized Necrons can be interesting and I think the Ultramarines are extremely cool but they were victims of their demented fanboys getting to run GW.

Based brother Ezekiel

oh wow that's making me want to kill them even more

Play Mechanicus, its free for the weekend and its on sale

Ultramarines were kind of set up as the "mary sue faction that you either love or hate" when they named them the "Ultramarines"

The space marine game is good, is basically doom 2016 before doom 2016.
>Inb4 but ultramarines and "the spiritual liege"
The game was designed like a massive "fuck you!" To matt, even more irony when is an ultramarine himself who tells him to fuck off.

leandros is a nonce

Leandros represents matt and everything wrong with his ultra Smurfs.

I tried playing this game. Every second mission, it usually crashed. Not sure why but I just refunded it.

they're called ultramarines because they are ultramarine blue, which is a real colour, not because they are "ultra"

Pounding that ass, for the greater good
