I've killed Fatalis 32 times, running around him is actually a bad idea due to his fire cone and fire swipe. That's why he so harshly punishes gunners alongside his high damage.

I got filtered by Barrioth an hour into Iceborne.

I literally just run, sometimes sprint, and he didn't even hit me when I was trying to learn him on my own. His attacks generally have angles where they won't hit and after you understand the audiocues and to keep him center, he won't hit you with his cone either. All of his attacks can just be dodged by jogging.

He's hard until you realize you can remove half his health with just Heavy Artillery, then you gear up for more defensives and uptimes, and he becomes not that bad.

Yes, but my suggestion is that for learning, that's a bad idea. I can avoid them just fine too, but for someone just doing the fight, he'll seriously have an easier time if he stays on his back legs or crotch.

Basically my advice is just to start off easy, but not make it a habit to stay on his back legs, then move onto his crotch as you get more comfortable and familiar with his moveset since that's basically how you'll be fighting him in general.

If someone is really bold, then they could just go on his crotch right off the bat, and that's basically how everyone should be fighting him alongside head potshots.

He is not that bad, only killed him four times, because i can just break his head twice only using cluch claw attacks to the head and using the roaming ballista and binders, if necessary you can use smoke bombs for a free attack, for a free roaming ballista or for free regular balista shots, he is really not that hard to dodge it just the mindset that you have when first fighting him that he will destroy you, I think AT velkhana is honestly more bullshit than Fatso even if I killed At Velk first try(son of a bitch almost time me out because when he was at skull level he wouldn't stop spamming aoe, that happenes when a I was aroung 13 minutes into the fight)

I found AT velk to be absolutely piss easy, fatty raised the bar too high, not only is he hard but also fun
