Why do people like this game so much?

>Retarded puzzles for no reason.
>You're constantly forced into ambushes where your party gets aoe'd to death because the formations system is trash.
>The quality severely drops off after the 2nd act, the nameless isle is a boring joke of an act compared to the 2nd.
>The final boss fight is HORRIBLE, Seriously the worst final boss fight I have ever seen in any game, besides dying light if that even counts.
>Bullshit like the deathfog frogs in Arx that you have no way of knowing about unless you've played the game before

I'm never fucking playing this shit again. I only stuck with it because the story is interesting and most of the quests are good.

>I only stuck with it because the story is interesting and most of the quests are good.
that is why. you can look up the steam cheevos for it and a great deal of people just played it in babby story/explorer modes to breeze through the combat

Its FUN by yourself, and even more FUN with friends. It sounds like you aren't very good at the game, try lowering the difficulty for a better experience user.

I was tempted to lower the difficulty but i'm stubborn. Besides, I was on NORMAL. I was on the fucking intended difficulty.

It sounds like a game you enjoyed enough to finish nevertheless had some frustrating qualities, user

how in the bloody hell do you get ambushed by anything in this game
if you have above room temperature IQ you can see any fight coming from a mile away

I enjoyed it enough to finish, but the amount of incredibly frustrating moments left such a sour taste in my mouth i'm never replaying it. Especially that final boss fight, THAT was the last experience with the game? I honestly just shut the thing off and didn't continue until the next day after beating the boss, I didn't even care about the story and about becoming the divine, it just frustrated me.

I don't literally mean ambushed I mean things like initiating a dialogue, not knowing it'll become a big fight, and having my whole party clustered together.

how come everyone but you figures out you can move your party members while your main one is in a dialog?

Only some of them, the last fight you aren't able to.

It was alright for the first half. But then turned to boring shit the moment you got tio arx. The new combat system was trash too. The first game was better and simple, withount trying too hard.

>friends keep pestering me to buy this game
>make fun of the retarded name for months
>finally relent
>extremely uninspiring setting
>boring ass intro
>get into the first combat encounter
>mfw i realise it's fucking turn based
>turn the game off and uninstall

maybe i was the retard all along

Because Ifan is the canon protagonist.

FORT SNOY

Fame and Ifan

Fane is only good as a companion, and barely, he's an annoying flamboyant faggot. He has 0 connection to the plot, if anything he's only relevant because of the gods, who don't even matter because chad Lucian takes the spotlight.

>Dallis

You know you're supposed to die and try again in games right?

>Fane
>0 connection to the plot

He is THE reason for the plot, you dimwit

literal who. Why are you pertending she's relevant, she literally shows up only two times in the entire game. And if you play as Fane yourself the reveal has 0 shock because Fane can't actually properly react to it.

Ah yes, some mary sue forced "he gave some notes to the gods", wooow he's the entire reason for the plot, i CAN TOTALLY SEE that since he's connected to all the factions to that show up in the game right? Bishop Alexander, Sourcerers, Humans and their human Kingdom, Elves, Mercenaries, peaseants and most importantly Lucian

Oh wait, he isn't? He's not connected to anyone and only shines because of his connection to some shitty irrelevant gods? And you're also telling me he has literally 0 extra dialogue options most of the time because he's boring trash and he's not a white human male protagonist?

Fane fags get btfod all the time and never learn

Not sure who the end boss is when youre playing solo, but the true end boss was my coop mate, when we both claimed for divinity. God that was so fucking good. Was a long and great fight.

The worm boss itself was shit, yeah.

It was a bummer, I agree

>is the reason for the gods existing
>is the reason for the void tear and the voidwoken
>extreme dallis connection
>Aetera and her area
>exclusive endings

You're an idiot who smashed dialogue skips.

besides showing the seven how to fuck over the universe which explains the larger events of the game he's Dallis' dad. his abandonment of her is pretty much her reason for staging a coup and ordering all the horrible shit the magisters get up to. Alexander got fucked because of her, I'm pretty sure the elves got nuked because of her, etc

>Not sure who the end boss is when youre playing solo

Pretty sure it's the same. You fight Dallis, Vredeman, and Lucian all at once, then get forced into another fight against braccus, none of your party gets healed, and you have to fight three previous bosses at the same time but at level 20, and you need to fight braccus rex who regained his health, and they also brought the kraken boss back but it deals 4,000 damage per turn in an aoe that covers half the arena. I only beat it because I googled it and found that if you choose the option to sacrifice your soul, lucian and dallis team up with you to kill Braccus. I'd have never beaten it otherwise, i'm not sure how it's possible unless you severely metagamed everything.

>dialogue is kinda shit
>le funny reddit humour all over the place
But hey the gameplay seems quite challenging and kinda ok
>reach level 4
>Get fireball to face in everysingle fucking fight
>CC CC CC CC CC CC CC
>???????????????????
>win

wow 10/10 larian, people parise the game because reddit doesn't finish the games

if you just kill dallis the magisters will "join" you in the second phase, in that they'll focus braccus and he will tend to focus them

Problem was, I couldn't have known that. How am I to know that I need to focus dallis first? Just through trial and error? Just reloading saves focusing every enemy until eventually I flip the win switch by accident? It's terrible design if you ask me, there should at least be some hint to how you're supposed to handle the fight. I imagine most people who did beat this just stumbled into it by accident because they focuses dallis.

he's literally the reason for the plot also he's Dallis's father.

>Do quest to get Anathema
>Final Fight, use it to 1-shot Braccus Rex
>Instant P2, in which Lucian/Dallis view Braccus as an enemy which splits their focus on you.
user...

He literally JUST GAVE NOTES. The gods were the ones who did everything. And even then who gives a shit, that's literally Dragon age inquisition Solas rip off, and saying Solas is the protagonist is outright retarded.

Fane has 0 connection to the plot, 0 extra dialogue options and has no place being party leader.

How in the world are you struggling on normal though? once you understand the combat system its really really easy

What? Dallis relevance is = to zero. Dunno why you're pretending she's important. Not even the gods are important they die like fags and you see them jut 2 times.

Attached: ben-Mezd.jpg (1280x1519, 304.87K)

Because it's a solid RPG with enjoyable combat encounters and plenty of reason to explore to try alternate solutions/outcomes. Name one game from the last 5 years that came even close to the freedom of choice, amount of content and polish. There's simply nothing like that anymore.

The reason for the plot is Lucian draining the gods + The void going wild.

Fane has no connection to neither, he's just there with his faggy voice being a sassy redditor. Guess you like him so much because you can relate to that.

Attached: Heroes of Rivellon.png (760x380, 535.93K)

please if anything Lucian has no relevance to the plot

> Lucian has no relevance to the plot

>Literally the hidden "villain" behind everything to whom giving divinity is the canon ending

>H-he's not reelevant!!!!!! REEEEE

Holy fuck Fane fags are seriously fucked in the head.
