How did Suda do it bros?

got a once-in-a-lifetime shot to do whatever he wanted.
and he made kino.

I fucking love this game

Shinji Mikami also had a hand in it.
People forget it wasn't just Suda.

I'm not a monster, it's just a mask!

Explain to me the death of the Union7 and the Smith Syndicate happening at the exact same time in the exact same place by Emir. I am genuinely confused.

Shinji Mikami had a good eye for talent between Suda and Kamiya. Kind of a shame how Tango is turning out.

I thought Union 7 was the hotel

The Union Hotel was the place where it happened.

The Smith Syndicate were the personas of Dan, Con, Kaede, Kevin, Coyote, and Mask Smith which Harman had resurrected.

The Union7 was a name given to the members of the Japanese Liberal Party who met at the Union Hotel in secrecy to craft the Yakumo. Emir is reported to have killed at least 6 of the Liberal party and all 6 of the Smith Syndicate before shooting himself.

The Million Dollar Question is how the two overlap with one another.

Holy fuck this looks kino as fuck im gonna go play it

Did they happen at the same time? I guess I assumed that emir did it before the smith incident.

It's very ambiguous and never given an outright definitive answer, unfortunately.

I am so glad that I got to play this game completely blind, there's really nothing like it.

Master!

We're in a tight spot!

I mean a really tight spot! Tighter than tight!

explain the weirdest bits of K7 to me like if I was a 5 year old

You're gonna have to be more specific on what bits

I cant explain the whole game you know

sometimes daddy makes a mess and mommy has to clean it up, but it's ok because daddy's going to get what's coming to him eventually

Having a capcom mvp backing you up and steering a creative in the right direction is guaranteed to make something special.
There's a reason Suda hasn't made anything in the same league as killer7 before and after.
In one level a black man talks about how some people are have enough energy to make themselves super happy 4 times a day.
Thats a really good render.
Thanks for the descriptive pic

Flower, Sun, and Rain is better.

I’M A CLEANER

If you read "Hand in Killer 7" it directly contradicts multiple parts of the game.
Honestly I don't recommend it because personally I found what answers it did give were unsatisfactory.
It implies that the smiths as personas exist with separately functioning bodies at the same time.
Harman has multiple incarnations of himself.
Garcian's timeline is still a mess with no explanation.
The most I got out of it was character motivation in that Harman and Kun Lan are likely enemies because Kun Lan killed his girlfriend forever ago.

He did not watch or engage in a single piece of media when writing,
he did a complete media black out and drew alot of things from his barest concious

Initial thoughts when I saw this game had a following was that people liked it just because of how weird it was, but this is by and far, one of the deepest games ever made. I don't mean that sarcastically, I'm actually blown away something like this could get made.

>steering a creative in the right direction
This game was all Suda, the execs let him do whatever
