Emerald, Platinum, and BW2

Black & White and their sequels. After that, no you're not missing anything.

>Emerald
Just Platinum, BW and BW2.

>sapphire
woman or tranny

Emerald was the last good pokémon game, so you didn't lose much to be honest.

neither
just 30yo so it's been a while

Yeah, Emerald turned out to be a pretty decent improvement. The remakes of the first two games were also good.

I don't know how I put up with the fucking battle mechanics before the physical special split. I refuse to play older games without this feature modded in.

EoSky, Platinum, maybe HG.
Emerald instead of replaying Sapphire.

Your first Pokemon game will always be the best.

The best post in the thread

This is only true if you weren't there in the beginning.

8 years old playing RBY and then GSC comes out???? That was a JUMP in content, make no mistake.

my first was blue edition on the original gameboy. then i got heartgold. then i got sapphire.
i liked sapphire the most because the map was comfy.
heartgold was the most interesting gameplay wise.
and blue edition was cool because i played it alongside watching the tv show.

>no mention of xy
I am disappointed in all of you
but mostly emerald faggots

This.
When I got Silver after having grinded the Red cartridge into dust it blew my mind and the art style of second gen still is my absolute favourite to this day including the added mons.

Diamond and Pearl onward introduced the Physical/Special split which made many Mons a lot more viable. Gen 5 was also really good.

I played Blue first but my personal favorite will always be Emerald.

xy was mediocre

gee i fucking wonder why xy could have possibly been excluded from our posts
'tis surely a mere coincidence, right guys?

You missed out on Pokemon Memeface

it's because you guys are shitters, xy was amazing and is still one of the best ones to just run through, jump online and knock a few strangers
wish the 3D worked though, always disappointed me

No. Emerald is overrated and later gens never captured the magic of gen 3.

No. My first was Gold and I really don't like GSC at all

shut up zoomer

Not true. I started with Red and Blue but Gen 5 are my favorite games.

Ding dong ur wrong
Red was my first during the height of pokemania
Gen 3 is my favorite

Crystal so yes

No unless you REALLY like the formula.

emerald, diamond, and alpha sapphire

wrong fucko
my first was ruby and i know gen 5 was the best

I loved XY but I must admit I was influenced a lot by the hype around it. Looking at it objectively it was pretty average in Pokémon terms.
Do appreciate the effort to 3D-ize every single Pokémon at the time tho.

blue isn't terribly good
unovabortions abound in the thread though

i swear gf fucked up on setting which type did which kind of damage in gen 2
dark type, which only had physical uses asides from houndour/ houndoom, did special damage
ghost type had 2 moves in gen 1, night shade and lick, for whatever reason they chose to make it physical even though the gastly line had high special and low physical
meanwhile dragon type had one move in gen 1, dragon rage, was set to special even though it was a set damage move, this make somewhat more sense than gastly though since the dratini line had decent atk and special
all the other type damage makes sense, although some pokemon got completely fucked in the special split if you didn't have decent tm's like, gyarados flareon and victreebel until the p/s split
apparently gf wanted to impliment that in gen 3 but either didn't know how to code on the gba or just couldn't figure out how to set the moves to a damage type despite moves already being split into contact, non contact, and other
