Unnecessarily expensive

Sorry but 4K and SSD drives have only made the consoles more expensive, FullHD and normal hard drives at launch (they should support normal and SSDs) should be the standard.

FullHD is more than enough and it should be the ceiling.

They are $500, which is the standard price for consoles at launch

then buy a series s

$like 300-350 tops and $250 if they actually want to sell units.

The price points for next gen are actually good. You are either just broke or ignorant.

Price here in Mexico: 14k (662 usd)

OP here. also for that price u can buy a mid-range tv here.

Op has a point, tech past the PS2 is just unnecessary

You have never used an SSD if you think that.

>both Playstation and Xbox got special "poverty versions" (Series S and Digital Only PS5)
>people like OP still bitch about a price
Where the fuck do you live if you think 300 or 400 US dollars is too expensive for a brand new console?
Nigeria? Zimbabwe?

>Not playing on a monitor

I don’t see the point in buying a 4K tv anytime soon. my tv looks just fine in 1080p, I don’t need to see every hair follicle on some dudes butthole

What a shit take. SSD should be the standard and should have been last gen.

Shit take but fair point. This gen consoles are pretty much worthless.

Consoles are just too expensive now.

I agree with the SSD, but 1080p TVs don't even exist anymore. 4k is the standard now and consoles have to reflect this.
PS1 was $299, with inflation that's around $500. Just because the numbers used to be smaller doesn't mean they were actually cheaper.

Not expensive enough if the prices the scalpers keep hitting are any indication. Just take a look as the one that have actually sold so far, from $700-$2400. People really want these systems, I guess.

I have a monitor, user. Its justs they keep pushing thing that make the consoles unnessesary expensive.

You're not wrong. There's a lot of interest in the new machines but the subscription just to play online, the rise in prices for games and the peripherals also got a price bump. SSD storage is starting in the $200 for 1 terabyte. It's pretty expensive I feel for a household.

>B-BUT INFLATIONINA!!!

cope faggot, pays did not rise with inflation, I'm not paying a premium to beta test faulty hardware before slim edition

>SSD drives have only made the consoles more expensive
SSD is very affordable now actually, its the decision to only use PCIE 4.0 SSD that is driving the price up

they should only focus on 1440p

pay did rise.

Not enough to cover inflation.

for comparison
Xbox SSD has 800GB
PS SSD is 600GB

not as much as inflation nigger

ps2 was fucking 850 Deutsche Mark back then for fucks sake, that shit was pricey as fuck.

>FullHD is more than enough and it should be the ceiling.
Ever heared of the Series S? It's made specifically for that

Stop being poor. Move to a better country.

This console generation was too short. The 7th gen lasted longer and they didn't get any mid-gen upgrades.

>640x480 is a ridiculous resolution that nobody needs - 300x200 is the ceiling
>900x600 is a ridiculous resolution that nobody needs - 640x480 is the ceiling

1080p is more than enough for anyone but only if you have MSAA.
Prove me wrong.

fuck off poorfag
