Am I the only one that isn't going to buy Cyberpunk on release...

Am I the only one that isn't going to buy Cyberpunk on release? For two reasons: I'd like to wait on a general consensus. But mostly for hardware reasons. My PC doesn't have RTX, and in no way will it max out in setting. Sure, maxing out is somewhat of a meme around here, but I feel like I'm losing the full visual experience for this game. It's like driving a Porsche out on the race track and keeping it in third gear the whole time. It's either that, or I can play it on my PS4. I don't know. Should I just wait?

You can also stop being a faggot that cares about meaningless things. Had Cyberpunk stuck to its original time line RTX would not have even been a worthy subject

Just how privileged and entitled you are thst you care about shit you can barely even discern? RTX is a developer benefit, users don't care whether it's baked light or RTX.

Well the ps4 is gonna look worse than your PC, unless your PC hasn't been upgraded since 2014. Plus there won't be mods and other great stuff that will extend its life.

id like you to quit being a faggot for two reasons, 1 buy cyberpunk eve if you arent going to play it , and 2 no one gives a shit if you have doubts/reservations about cyberpunk. cyberpunk is a unifying event for all mankind and you dont deserve to play it. take one in the ass homo.

>Am I the only one that isn't going to buy Cyberpunk on release?
I am pretty sure that there are plenty of People who don't have a PC strong enough to run the game or are too poor to buy the game, so you won't be alone OP. Also there are the triggered trannies that weren't going to buy it in the first place but you're not one of them, right?

Lmao it's hilarious how the tortanic cucks perfectly match their stereotype.

If graphics are important to you user you'd be better off waiting. Even if you could max out the game with RTX features you still wouldn't get the full nextgen experience, as that's coming next year.

Your options in November will be:
PS4/XONE build - Current gen console optimised and built build
PS5/SERIES X enhanced compatibility - Extra tweaks for framerate and performance mostly, maybe some graphics stuff if lucky
PC - Highest possible settings with RTX features and DLSS

Next year CDPR are dropping a proper nextgen build patch that will be free to anyone who owns the game. If you have a PS5 or Series X it will have more tailored effects and tweaks to the engine and rendering pipeline for a nextgen specific build, and a bunch of the enhancements will also come across as a free patch for PC too.

So despite the PC version at launch being vastly superior to the PS4/XONE build, with features like ray tracing not even available on the PS5/SeriesX compatibility, it's still fundamentally a current gen game at its core and on PC it just scales up with extra stuff bolted on (like RTX). The true nextgen build of the game, including for PC with additional tailored optimisation and features, wont come until next year.

i'm not gonna buy it because it looks like shit

>make a seething image showing clearly that you're mad about politics
>too new to make it display properly in the thumbnail
2016 election newfags ruined this site

I'm probably gonna trust the reviews on this. If I paid attention to the "general consensus" I'd probably assume Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Last of Us 2 were bad games.

Fair enough.
Waiting for a general consensus is a great idea just remember to avoid the inevitable leddit, Zig Forums, and youtube backlash that is going to try to "I told you so" the game.
Also fair enough to invest in hardware over games. It's what runs the games and if you get an RTX card you'll get access to cutting edge graphics on AAA games going ahead even past CP2077.
I'm not preordering the game but I think, because I'm convinced it'll be good (not 'hyped' but looking forward to a new fun game), that I'll pick it up on release date.
I hope for not just my sake but yours that it's a good game. Just want to have fun in a visualized roleplaying medium about a speculative dystopia, y'know?

>Preordering
No meme or snark but why would you preorder a game in 2020? Especially one that doesn't see any benefit? Thing's not out yet.

max out with rtx is the full nextgen experience ...

you fell for the meme, no one with a functional brain buys shit on release, or even worse, preorders.

The game looks cringe and embarrassing, I can't blame you.

>buying an unfinished game that is trying to sell to the woke industrial complex
Zig Forums didn't we learn better by now

At least you openly admit that you're just seething over political issues which live rent-free in your head instead of weakly pretending that you're concerned about the gameplay
You're still a retard but at least you're an honest one
Anyway, still buying it and I look forward to seeing you in the threads where we all discuss it

Some people rather just get the payment out of the way and have it ready. Rather than on launch day buying the game, waiting for the transaction, then waiting for the game to download.

At launch, we can just play the game immediately.

preload is the only factor for me, granted that DF or AGC releases a technical overview before release to ensure it doesn't run like shit.

No, it's not. The current gen build launching in November will, like most games, scale up heavily on PC in the ways most PC games do. And CDPR's partnership with NVIDIA has allowed them to optimise RTX features for launch. But there's a set of other next-gen tailored features they're planning for 2021 that'll also ship across to PC via patch, not just the PS5/Series X build.

Not so much shit that'll scale up anyway, like shadow resolution, texture resolution, etc etc. More stuff that isn't available for launch full stop on any platform. Like if they're planning to use the next gen console CPU headroom to add it something like full hair rendering, or cloth physics, that shit wont be available on PC either until the "next gen" patch launches next year.

Basically scaling up in order of detail and graphical effects the order from worst to best goes:

PS4/XONE build - Baseline current gen build, held back by current gen hardware.
PS5/SERIES X optimised build - Baseline current gen build, optimised and slightly enhanced for next gen consoles.
PC build - Highest possible graphical settings at launch, scaling up current gen build as far as possible, with addition of nextgen RTX features.
PS5/SERIES X "next gen" build - Free patch in 2021 that includes a host of "next gen" tailored engine enhancements, some of which from the PC build (eg: ray traced reflections), some of which new.
PC "next gen" build - Free patch for PC that will enhance the PC build even further with additional engine features and optimisation.

The PC version at launch is basically the current gen build of the game scaling up as far as possible (so still looking much better) with early nextgen stuff bolted, as much as they could get for launch. Further engine features and optimisations won't come until 2021.

Fair enough, that's why now in the world of electronically downloaded games instead of physical disc copies I don't consider purchasing the day before the release as a "pre-order" since it's realistically the modern equivalent to everyone being first in line at the gamestop after camping outside the store the whole night.

Speaking of optimized RTX features, I'm looking forward to the most modern rendition of DLSS that's going to be in this game. I love that technology maybe even more than RTX itself.

/v has only general consensus in indie games who doesnt get too many public.
Its gonna be:
>people from /v who like it are gonna be called shills by shitposters
>Reddit is gonna love it and for /v this is bad
>normies are gonna like it when streamers play it

Can't wait to play Cyberpunk while you chuds are still BOILING about the cheeto losing the election.
November gonna be comfy af.

CP2077 is a AAA game.
And I know that this is going to be the general reaction from Zig Forums which is why I suggested not to trust this part of the web while you're trying to get a feel for the game.

this, but instead I'm going to be smiling over FOUR MORE YEARS whilst playing the most kino game of 2020

OH NO BROS THE SLURP MAN DIDN'T STOP THIS MAD LAD.

>Ghost in the Shell
Actually, CP2077 is similar to GITS in tone, just not the one normies think of when you mention it.

>The GitS playstation game
You're a real one lmao it best shows off the funny aspects of the manga that the 1995 anime film left out.
The purely serious tone of the 1995 film allowed for a narrow, focused plot and heavier hitting themes though in my opinion.
My first CP2077 character is gonna look like her.

>buying trannypunk ever
I SHIGGY DIGGY

Same, corpo netrunner with thermo-optic camo, cyber ninja. CDPR just need to include her fluffy hairstyle and all we're set.

Hell yeah. I really hope the game has thermoptic camouflage though.
It hasn't been seen in any trailers yet.

The only problem with 1995 and SAC is that for normalfags they became the definitive versions, and they're completely shocked and sometimes repulsed when they discover the original. Shame, "muh philosophy" is far from everything the series has to offer.

the worst thing about this bait image is having Dead Rising 2 and not DR1

Don't worry user, they're on record.

Lmao nice
Yeah completely fair. The GitS experience shouldn't just be limited to a film not even 2 hours long, but there's still a really cool draw towards a short, very directive plot that knows what it wants to show.

Shut the fuck up. Nobody is ever the only one. This is just as bad as the plebbit-tier "UNPOPULAR OPINION BUT" garbage.

>There are skills
I really, REALLY hope that means invis camo. Because cyberninja skills could really just be "Plus 5% damage to katanas"
