If it aint broke don't fix it.

No shit

looks comfy

Why are all doors in sci-fi metal sliding doors? Swing out doors with knobs don't take up any space inside a wall, why change it?

why not take up space in a wall? only concern is the door gettting jammed.

They're still using ammunition designs from the 1950s in Halo.

see As it turns out tiny little metal projectiles flying faster than the speed of sound are still pretty good at killing things 500 years in the future.

Looks more high tech. Sliding doors have been a thing since the 50s in private homes but aren't as cool as they sound and are mostly implemented due to space constraints. Automating them wouldn't be a good idea as they produce noise and need maintenance.

They aren't that efficient in industrial settings either and are mostly used in places where alot of people pass through as means to mitigate energy loss.

You still wear a loin cloth under your pants, thousands of years in the future.
What's wrong with a solid desk?

If it's 2552, wood doesn't even exist, so is this extravagant or tacky?

>interior designer is a hipster using 20th century furniture designs
I can see it happening

News flash: bullets are extremely overpowered

wtf happened bros? What happened to furniture that can last?

It didn't, obviously

greed and China happened

NAFTA. Kikes decieved American populace to disregard homeland industry abd quality for cheap, mass produced garbage with a built-in shelf life of 5-7 years manufactured by slave labor with suicide net preventions on the sides of the building instead of something that's built to last.

You can still get stuff like that made if you want, dude

It's just that the major market demand has been for far simpler and cheaper furniture for some time

It did, it's just that people started replacing it with pqrticle wood and plywood because chinks, poles and swedes have convinced people it's more trendy.

blabla outsourcing blabla reagan blabla economy blabla ikea you already know why the fuck are you asking

NAFTA is the reason Polish-made furniture made out of wood chippings is popular in Europe?

Capitalism created, and encourages, planned obsolescence

I don't know the reason for Europe having kike garbage user, only my country.

Bullets are and will always be the best way to kill stuff, even 40k years from today

They're going to be using heat weapons by then.

Why though? The majority of war is attrition, and bullets will always be infinitely cheaper than energy weapons.
What is the main advantage of using heat that ballistics don't offer?

You mean flashlights?

there won't even be a human species left 400 years from now and you're talking 40k years?

No need for accuracy, can't hide behind cover.

Explosives already exist, and we have something that's pretty good at reflecting heat already and making it useless, its called a mirror.

Unless there's a drastic, and I mean drastic, improvement over regular balistic weapons, and it's cheaper to boot, there's no reason to invest so much money in regular infantry weapons.
