Depends on you desu. If you like and find relatable the mood, character, setting and ideas, and don't mind the low amount of active gameplay then it's a great and intimate experience. If you think all that I just said is fake and gay lmao, then you better don't bother playing.
Also don't expect to understand and get everything, it's not a mainly mystery detective game as it may seem at first.
If you are not the type to get too absorbed in the story then it may be more fun to watch somebody who you enjoy play it. There is two "main paths" to the story tho and the choice is personal taste, so you may be disappointed by what the let's player chose.

Comfy (for rural amerifats) walking simulator with retarded story.

a slow start, but an fairly open enough story driven game with some optional mini games. I only ended up liking the characters and setting towards the end but there's some charm to it if you take it all at your own pace and don't have any expectations.

it's pretty universal desu, a lot of countries have similar places and situations, same as Twin Peakses quite rural town is relatable to people around the world

I'd kinda compare it to A Short Hike and Oxenfree. Oxenfree has worse gameplay and story though. While A Short Hike actually has gameplay and very basic story, but it's fun and the best of the three in my opinion.
