Agreed. Fatalis is a actual tough fight. Aletreaon is just a damn elemental DPS check.

It's not, pierce is better than ever due to fatty 4p bonus and shaver deco. Main issue with pierce is that you can't use it against every monster. I mean you can but you will have 30 minutes hunts.

There's the tempered Vaal event, it gets you tickets to make a shitty looking scarf. The Zinogre tickets is for layered Leon, clockwork, and some head armors. Next week, Brute Tigrex event becomes available for regular buff body layered, Claire, and some head armors. Note that of the 4 times I've done the Zinogre quests, I didn't get even one ticket yet. At least, I got 10 celestial tickets from steamworks. Furious rajangs solo is doable. You only seem to get one buff+ ticket. Need three for super buff layered armor.

Is the Alatreon swaxe better than a raw safi swaxe if I'm using it without critical element? Safi has more raw but alatreon has a stupid amount of dragon and purple sharpness.

Fright handler looks so much better now that I can't see her face.
Also, finally managed to solo fade to black, I was getting nowhere with GS but at least I learned enough the fight to finish it with IG. I wish it hadn't taken me until third phase to break a fucking horn.
I still prefer this to alatreon's elemental check.

The tempered vaal quest kind of has a guaranteed great spiritvein drop for a pushover fight which is pretty nice.

How the fuck do I get them anyways? I got like 4 the first day from High Rank quests, then I've been playing for like 30 quests now and haven't gotten any more.

You wear the full armor and spam the shortest event quest you can find, like the flower one.

Don't forget the Deliveries and Pendants user. 5 is just the beginning.

Alatreon is such an awful fight. Fatty was way harder but fuck it was so much better. Failing 10 times at Fatty feels better than failing once at Alatreon.

I don't agree with you at all. You won't see pierce used by speed runners, there is no debating that spread is much stronger in that regard. You can use pierce comfortably and not feel hindered by it against most long monster or winged monsters with acceptable hitzones. I will bring pierce 100% of time against nerg, raging brachy, vaal hazaak, namiele, kulve and jho. I wont mention lower tiered monsters because they are paper thin and ammo choice won't end up mattering.
My point is that pierce is completely valid and viable ammo choice to bring on a hunt. You shouldn't not feel weak when using it if you made a good build and know how to play.

I like him, bar the dps check, fair patterns, you can actually survive its attacks more than twice and the changing elements are fucking neat.
But god I hate the dps check.

It's just not the same as downing a monster over and over again with little effort while also doing very good damage. It's even safer in the long run keeping a monster downed than sticking back and going with pierce since that means more time the monster can't do anything.
