You should totally check out New Super-Man and the Justice League of China. It's a great book that went under the radar and ended too soon. But perhaps that was for the best, as the book is very anti-CCP/communism and would probably stir a shitfit over there had gotten more press. The real appeal of the book is "Chinese knockoffs" of the JLA being their own unique characters with their own awesome quirks, being true legacies of their western counterparts.
For example, Peng Deilan (The Wonder-Woman of China) is linked with Chinese mythology and her true form is a giant green snake.
