Neither. I hate women.

Terraria
starbound was promising until devs started fucking everything up the wrong way

Never played Starbound, it's shit.

I want to like the starbound as it has some aspects I enjoy but I play for 2-3 hours and just want to drop it

starbound easily , i just found the setting funner and the enviorments more interesting.

based

cringe

Terraria 200+ hours
Starbound 10 hours

Now you can't complain. Haha.

good shit bro

also i really liked how creative the races were , the fact that the ancient long lived race actually has a nomadic culture of living in the moment and not remembering the past.
how there were mutant monkey-peapole which were actually living under a fascist space empire.
how there were robots made to simulate civilisation growth but they just bugged and stopped at medieval.
the plant peapole that were actually carnivorous hunter gatherers.
the jap mermaids .
oh and the egiptian birdpeapole.
starbound really had a better setting but the execution was kinda lacing.

terraria because my IQ has multiple digits

starbound.
>different races allowed for some more roleplay
if you played with friends.
>different planets have their own biomes.
>discovering hidden stuff felt better
>getting new items to customize your ship was cool

the game did though get ruined when they decided to make it more linear and story driven.
it was more fun when you could make up your own galactic stories with friends.

Yeah real shame all the races and potential was absolutely wasted on this shit fucking game. 6 years later and I'm still mad.

>more roleplay
>garbage forced story
I don't think this could be the case anymore user.

why does Chucklefuck hate guns so much? They're really cool and make more sense especially for the games setting.

Tranny

what are some games with space cowboy aesthetic, starbound had the novakid but the game sucked

not chucklefuck as a whole but one lead dev
and considering the rest of them are artists and marketers, they kneel

Not really Space Cowboy per se but Fallout NV is the closest thing I can think of where you can be a futuristic cowboy. The setting, atmosphere and equipment can make you feel right at home.

It's close, but doesn't have enough of either space or cowboy really

starcraft

based
wasted in this grate game about 300 hours

too bad the base game is awfully dull with very little character progression, planets being little more than palette swaps, combat being at the same time very simple and highly unfunctional, races changing absolutely nothing about how you play the game, multiplayer being very weak and the game as a whole just not having a clear idea of what it wants to be

Borderlands kinda cool
2nd ans pre-siquel is the most enjoyable ones

>doesn't have enough of cowboy
the game is almost literally post apocalyptic western

I still don't get why they bothered with the story and main quests in Starbound. They were just tacked on and largely pointless since basically aside from the couple of short dungeon levels they were literally just "go around, scan x amount of race specific furniture". On top of that all the bosses were complete jokes, the glitch "dungeon" was literally just a short base defense arena, and they pulled a complete fucking cop out with the human race with the whole "teehee you don't actually have to retrieve the human gem because granny had it all along". Oh and no Novakid quest because apparently "fuck the backers".

Nigger what? Revolvers and lever action rifles are one of the most common weapons of the game. Lot of people wear dusters and hats because of the desert, most of the songs on the radio is bluegrass. Sure there isn't much space but there's still lots of high tech, creatures and science abominatons to make up for it.

I really, really want to love starbound, but it's just so superficial and it has no depth whatsoever

Steamworld Heist. It's basically a combination of space cowboys and space pirates.

Let's just get this out pf the way.

>human is by far the worst option
>floran is the only possibly bad one, and even then loads of people might see it as a positive
imagine picking humans
