I blame Azure Revolution for starting the downward trend. They can't blame VC4's failure on exclusivity, this was out on all platforms and the Switch people got it as well. God, SEGA business men just sell the franchise to Raita and let him get a new developer for the series that will give people what they want. The translation team of VC3 PSP also disbanded or disappeared so fuck that, it's like the series' momentum died over night.

VC2 PSP is actually really good from a gameplay/balancing perspective. It's fucked by the pacing of having to MMO like grind to unlock new missions. The story is take it or leave it but I didn't find it to be truly outright offensive and I'm in the camp that thought VC Zero with the first war and Welkin's dad should be a thing.

Man i just want another Valkyria game, they surely had issues but i kinda enjoyed the overall.

VC1 is the sidestory, VC4 is about the main front of the second Europan War with the Federation army versus the imperial forces.

VC1 is good, but VC4 is the superior game, the only glaring flaw in VC4 is the contrived plot device involving the electrified net being silly
