Yakuza isn't really anything like Shenmue. Yakuza is a very linear game that is constantly pushing you to the next story event to progress the game. Shenmue is a much slower game that relies on exploration and lets the player decide when they want to advance the story.

I like both of them, but they're not really that similar.

Yakuza doesn't really do that at all unless you're specifically on a story heavy chapter. I feel like you haven't really played it.

Deadly Premonition and Shadow of Memories are the closest I've played. I also found GTA 4 weirdly similar but only if you play fully in character as Nico.

Played 0, Kiwami, and Kiwami 2. Every time you complete part of the story there's a glowing waypoint on your map showing you where to go to continue the story. Shenmue leaves it completely up to exploration for the player to continue. Two very different approaches and two very different gameplay experiences.

Are you seriously that retarded? Look at the fucking map. There's practically always a glowing pink circle showing you where you're supposed to go next. Not once during my entire play-through of 0 did I get stuck or have to aimlessly explore to figure out what I needed to do next.
