ill apologize when it comes out in 2023 oh wait fallout 5 is coming out now this is cancelled

fallout 5 is not coming out for at least more than 5 years

this made me happy for some reason
thanks op

Sunny is going to get Mutant'd again by the docks.

have any of these projects ever been completed?

No lol

As cool as it is, it isn't out yet. Even then, it will need a lot of support post launch as well as mods to fix some of FO4's issues like the shitty animations.

Every time they release a trailer or screenshots it is because they are looking for new people to come help, it is never being finished.

this is the exact same as Skywind, Skyblivion and all the rest, all they do is models, lighting and textures, but actually implementing the quests and voice acting is never going to happen since it's too much work

They are pretty big project so take a long time to develop with an non-proffesional team. But both Skyblivion and F4NV is making pretty significant progress and im guessing they will be released before 2023.

>high fidelity mod
50/50 on it never being finished or autists nictpicking it to hell and back like they did with Black Mesa
Oh and if its never finished dont count on them releasing what little they got done so others can do something with it.

big projects have been completed for fallout games plenty of times but no idea about this. At least sim settlements 2.0 is coming out.

Tale of Two Wastelands was considered some far-off project like morroblivion at one point, now it's a very popular way to marginally improve fallout 3

Souless Trailer.

Peak soulless

Samefags not even trying to hide it anymore

>morrowblivion
>skyblivion
>skywind
>FO4NV
>various GTA recreations
It seems like all these projects put the cart before the horse and do the easy things first. Last time I saw Skyblivion it still had Skyrim combat and Skyrim skill trees. I've never seen anyone transfer the actual mechanics of one game into another. I'm not sure if it's even possible.

I hope i can get this working with Fallout 4 VR when it comes out. Playing through vegas in VR would be a blast.

It honestly looks great Im just wary that these things never fucking make it to release.

Does anybody know why they are re-doing the voice acting?

from what I've seen FO4NV already has fallout NV skills and perks.

Isn't Morroblivion complete? That's the only "remake" project I can think of. But stuff like Enderal has come out too so it really depends if you have a dedicated team and don't get C&D'd

Yeah, Black Mesa after it became a paid game. It's a very different type of project though.
The main obstacle of this mod is making the quests and scripts and shit all work properly and that's where Bethesda mods fail usually.

I've never played New Vegas. I'm so excited for this to come out. Gonna go in Fresh with a better experience than everyone else who already played it.

Importing the sound/voice files would be a copyright infringement and cause Bethesda/Zenimax to lawyer up and cease&desist the project or they get their asses sued. Although I'm sure that there'll be third-party mods to these already-third-party mods that will restore the original audio.

Morroblivion and it took 7 years. What a waste of time.

i think the fallout 3 remake project got fucked by having the same voices

lol it's amazing how much Bethesda milks the-
>Fallout 4: New Vegas and Team F4NV is not affiliated with Bethesda
HOLY FUCK, HOW CAN THESE PEOPLE BE SO BASED

cease and desist :^)

This is going to that 20 years like Black Mesa isn't it?

Seems like a bunch of mechanics were already implemented 2 years ago

help them

they should've teamed up with the guy that added a lot of more voice actors

Tale of Two Wasteslands fixed this by requiring you to provide the original game's files.

Stop using nigger words like "based" when you are white

probably they will point users how to mod original audio files back, given you own the original game

they're definitely working at a faster pace than Black Mesa ever did

Why even waste time making trailers for something that won't even come out because they wasted time making trailers for it instead of actually finishing it
>Le quirky

they've already said that F4NV will feature new voice acting and have posted a sample video with new music & Doc Mitchells new voice

Yes I'm sure this will come out just like Skyblivion and Skywind did
Why do they even bother

Honest question: Why? Why not do what ToTW did and make you require the original game's assets? Imagine the sheer amount of time, money, and effort needed to re-record lines for a 10+ year old game whose script is fully accessible and that will 99% surely be immediately replaced by the original voices by most users without ever even hearing the new ones.

Skywind has made like 0 progress in the past 2 years, but Skyblivion is still going strong. Obviously not gonna be done for another 10 years, but still.

I feel like these projects are cursed to share the same fate as Morroblivion. By the time they're released a brand new game is right around the corner and nobody cares about the project anymore.

>gonna get Fallout 4 just to play New Vegas again for the umpteenth time
Great.

I don't get why they do them in the first place. The original games' modding scenes are already well established within a year or two of the game's lifetime, and at the point we are now that Morrowind is 18 years old, Oblivion is 14 years old, and Skyrim is 9 years old, the modding capabilities that exist for them are FAR superior to what any fan remake can hope to accomplish. Why don't these people put such monumental effort towards total conversion mods, like Nehrim and Enderal?

iirc, Fallout Miami finished.

the difference is a sequel to New Vegas is doubtful to ever be made. a new installment in the fallout franchise might come along, but failing a large philosophy shift by bethesda (or microsoft forcing bethesda to work with obsidian and hiring on people like avellone to help) an old style fallout game in this vein is doubtful to be made ever again. Thus, a fan project to bring a beloved game to a new engine can and probably will continue to be worked on.
