Genuine thoughts on this game?

I think it's indeed a game.

Great game and story, get the fuck out if you haven't played it so nobody spoils it for you, it's one of those one in a lifetime games

I do believe it's a game

The gameplay was ridiculously basic, great story and fucked up ending that rapes your mental health.

If you are a normalfag in denial this game will snap you out of it

MC didnt understand the concept of copy-paste.

Interesting concept but as a horror game itself is very lackluster.

It was pretty neat, great story, monster encounters were tedious.

I had a hard time falling asleep for a few weeks because I'd spooked myself into thinking about the continuity of conciousness far too much before bed.

Existential crisis simulator

I can't play this game for more than an hour before I start getting nauseated.

might be the horrorgame of last decade.

I don't want to die

the roaming ghost thing is spooky

Song of Horror takes that title.

I was too engrossed in the story for the spooky monster bits to be scary.

How could you misinterpret the question this badly twice in a row?

>le coinflip XD
and watch retards being retarded

Really?, I used headphones and the water sections were something else. Maximum Comfy

From what?

>willingly outing yourself as a brainlet
Why do this?

some user here complained he couldnt figure out how to fix the broken door at the start lmao

frictional's masterpiece

it also filtered most of Zig Forums

sell that game to me, graphics looks good and it plays like old survival horros, i like that, but all the scary stuff i have seen is just shadowy things and they dont seem to be scary at all.

This. I loved it but the monster encounters needed to be redone.
Either go full walking sim with jumpscares or full hardcore death.

Would've been better if Simon didn't speak nearly as often outside of actual conversations.

It's more about the oppressive atmosphere and existential dread with occasional jumpscares.
You get really immersed in the world though so it works.

The Abyssal climb and seabed section is probably the most atmospheric thing in any game I've ever experienced. Amazing sound design too.

Outside for the retard looking monsters, i loved it.
Would been cooler if you got the good ending first and after the credits you go back to the underwater simon arguing with catherine.

>Somalia
>now Algeria in their new game
what's wrong with frictional games' games

Anyone who says SOMA isn't scary is absolutely lying because everyone shit their pants when Terry Akers runs down the stairs and charges down the hallway at you.

But I get that it's not the scariest game ever.

The atmosphere is literally second to none. It's been 5 years and I don't think I've ever felt so immersed in a game world since SOMA.

Whoops, reading comprehension, you were talking about Song of Horror
