Has to play a character at almost all times, showbiz in general is a mental and physical burden on a young girl as tons of shit is expected of her. Doesn't really know who she is because she's been playing someone for so long, tries going from one persona to the other and then realizes that both her off-duty self and her idol self are part of her identity

Her life is pretty much predetermined with her inn but she's a passive retard who's just waiting for someone to take her away. Eventually realizes that she has to show initiative and does just that. But rebelling for the sake of rebellion really isn't the answer, so she chooses to inherit the inn out of her own volition
>Kanji
Gets told by his dead dad to be a true man. Enjoys shit that would generally be considered girly though and gets shit for it. So he decides to compensate and become a grade A delinquent. Eventually gets that she shouldn't really give a fuck what others might perceive as girly or manly as long as he enjoys what he's doing while living his life at his fullest

The only one with a terrible personality in 3 is Yukari, my man. At least at first. The others are just fine. If you count Junpei as terrible, then Yosuke counts too, as they both suffer from the blue ranger syndrome.

Japan recognizes that being fat and ugly is a choice, and if you choose to be a disgusting hideous blob then you're obviously not a good person.

It's an island with predominantly fish eating culture. Fat people there until the most recent oversaturation years have been a real rarity and it is seen as not only an overt luxury but a disgusting lack of social empathy to display your gross self to others. A sociopath is less likely to care if others think they are ugly for being fat so it tends to be a common feature along with narcissism. You have to think outside of the western culture which has TOO MANY fat people so now its slowly become acceptable for even a normie to gain more than healthy weights.

yeah Mitsuru’s flaw of being “too perfect” was so awe inspiring and Fuuka’s flaws of “being a computer nerd” had me at the edge of my seat. Truly the most interesting characters put to paper
