How do i block

Wooden Shield
Loch Shield

Equip a shield

You can't, because blocking is for pussies, am i right bloodbros? It's not like that reduces build variety or overall simplifies fights

wrong fag

shut up fag

>reduces build variety
Versus the game where literally any build was either gimped or used the grass crest shield? Ok retard

Still more choices other than R1 spamming lol

DS1 is literally the only game where you can actually exclusively spam R1 to win though, thanks to poise and enemies having none of it and extremely long stagger animations. Literally just two-hand any heavy weapon and you can just stunlock every boss.

It's true, but in BB R1 spamming is extremely effective against most bosses, yes, you need to properly dodge but when it comes to battle R1 is usually the fastest and best choice.

The DLC bosses are better, but come on its DLC.

>It's true, but in BB R1 spamming is extremely effective against most bosses
Objectively less effective than it is in DS1

Can you faggots just fuck it out already?

You still need poise which is not something you get from the start not even with the knight class, and besides, Das1 is from 2011, BB is 2015, there's 4 years of room to improvement

>You still need poise which is not something you get from the start
The best armor set in the entire game is literally right there in the forest. If you're a retard who doesn't explore then you only think BB is easier because you learned how to stop being shit at videogames during your course of playing DS1. DS1 is a pathetically easy game and a step down from Demon's Souls in terms of difficulty.
>there's 4 years of room to improvement
And they did improve because BB is a significantly better game in most regards

why can you not defend your game without attacking another game
even if we accept the premise here that DaSI is shallow, that doesn't automatically make BB deep

Blocking is for pussies, but shields are for Chads.

Because the retard said that BB was bad because of a lack of build variety, yet it has more viable builds than DS1 does.

>The best armor set in the entire game is literally right there in the forest.
You're not really supposed to be that early there. It's like saying that finding Ash Lake and Ariamis in your first blind playthrough was normal.

>why can't you defend your game without attacking another game
>because user mentioned X, and my game is better at X than this other game!
do you not see my point

you just block bro...

>You're not really supposed to be that early there
There are two separate ways to reach it early, and one way to reach it later, but still extremely early, unless you consider blighttown to be lategame. The forest is an early game area outside of the area behind the Artorias crest, which requires fighting the hydra (difficult for a new player) or coughing up 20k souls. The enemies are balanced for the early game, they drop souls equivalent to the early game, and the moonlight moth is on the same level of difficulty as capra and the gargoyles, and its main reward is an ember that's (ostensibly) on par with the one you find at the start of the depths. Additionally one of the entrances is right next to an important NPC that you'll meet very early (Andre) and is on the main route to Blighttown. You could argue at best that it's the third area you're intended to enter at the latest, as an alternative to the Depths (it even ultimately leads you to the same location, Blighttown), and is much easier to find than the Depths are. On my first playthrough I had cleared the entire area before I even went and got the key to the lower burg, just because I figured the door to the lower burg was just some shortcut from later in the level and forgot about it until later on.
>X is worse than Y because
>explain why X is in not worse than Y and why that reason was incorrect
>DURR YOU CAN'T DEFEND X WITHOUT MENTIONING Y WOW OBSESSED MUCH

Alright I'll give you the win

How does one go about getting PvP matches in Bloodborne? I'm always walking around with the Sinister Bell activated but never catch a fight.

>How does one go about getting PvP matches in Bloodborne?
Petition for a PC port so that the game will actually be able to sustain a population due to not requiring a fucking online subscription to play

>boss spams like a retard so the player doesn't have any choice other than spamming the dodge botton backwards

>>X is worse than Y because
he never said "than Y". He mentioned build variety then someone (you?) jumped in to bring up the comparison to Dark Souls, so now instead of discussing the merits of BB as a game we're instead pointed towards a pissing contest between two games without actually discussing absolute quality, only relative. It's a fucking worthless conversation to have because no-one will ever be convinced by the other side. I wanted to see you two have a discussion on BB build variety but instead it's the same old same old
"X bad"
"haha no, X is better than Y so X good"
"actually I think you'll find Y good X bad"
"no u"
"no u"
...
You can do better, honestly.

>he never said "than Y"
He mentioned something mostly exclusive to Souls, build variety, which isn't a thing in most other action games, and if you were to compare BB to most other action games, it has much higher build variety. The assumption is that he is then talking about other Souls titles, since his claim would be completely nonsensical otherwise, and is further reinforced by further replies outright confirming this. Enough of your useless pedantry.

Find a fightclub. Invasions are virtually dead since pretty much everyone who has wanted to play the game has already played it except for the PCuks
There's a couple of them in the Bloodborne PS communities if you check the game page.
However, now is a really good time to get into BB and experience co-op and invasions again. Almost every October, diehard Bloodborne fans typically come back to the game and play another playthrough since its the perfect Halloween game. I've found a couple of people for co-op and managed to invade like 4 people.

I reckon it will happen at some point. It's probably wishful thinking, but after HZD got ported, and with the sheer number of times the rumour gets "confirmed", I think it'll eventually come over to PC.

What's your bl? It gets pretty dry though but I get decent action in the dungeons.

>mostly exclusive to Souls, build variety

>talking shit about Orphan of Kos
He's a very manageable fight. Yes, he's very aggressive, that's the point of most of Bloodborne.

Thanks, maybe I'll look into it. I'm almost Lv300 and I've PvP'd in this game like 10 times at most.

Okay, name some other action games where people give a shit about build variety.

The game is dead because you have to pay money to play it online. Every other Souls game is always active, because they don't require you to pay money to use the internet you already pay money for. Nobody except retards would willfully pay $15 to replay the game they already paid $460 for

Skyrim, Final Fantasy, Mass Effect, Dragon's Dogma, Monster Hunter

>He mentioned something mostly exclusive to Souls, build variety,

Attached: 1602199870198.jpg (338x329, 13.32K)

see >Final Fantasy
I said action games
>Dragon's Dogma
Doesn't have builds, just classes
>Monster Hunter
Doesn't have builds, you can get everything on a single character easily
>Skyrim
See above
>Mass Effect
See DD

yeah but on the other hand not so many people use cheat engines which makes it more enjoyable and spamming is much more punishable. I can easily gank spank with my arc and my blt builds. No way I could do something similar in dark souls.

>you can get everything on a single character easily
The same thing can be said on any soulsborne

>cheat engine
PvP watchdog exists, retard.
> I can easily gank spank with my arc and my blt builds. No way I could do something similar in dark souls.
This has nothing to do with why the game is deserted. It's deserted because nobody who has a brain would pay $15 to replay the game they already paid $460 for.

Bloodtinge or Arcane?

If you level every stat to the softcap in a Souls game you're virtually locked out of the majority of PvP.
Monster Hunter doesn't have builds anyway, there's optimal loadouts for whatever you're hunting. You don't and in most cases can't go and respec for every single boss in a Souls game, so you actually have to worry about how you build your character.

none
bloodborne sucks

>still seething about bloodborne
It really is the BotW of snoys.
