Because normies dont understand the subtle complexities of this nuanced, constantly fresh, never repetitive battle system

It's coomer cringe that proves Japan can no longer make good games. Legit the worst game Zig Forums has ever played

How did we go from the masterpieces that are Xenogears and Xenosaga to......this????

For me, it’s the retarded, overly complicated, combat system. To be fair though, I’m not a jrpg guy so maybe it just wasn’t for me.

X1 > X2

I've played through 1 four times, and just starting my second run of X2 after two years. Booting it up again reminded me that I rage quit the post game (after beating all the post game bosses) solely because I couldn't get Kos-Mos, but now I can save scum so maybe I'll finally fucking get her.

For me, it's the retarded, overly simplistic combat system that only has you doing the same two things over and over, with some seriously sponged enemies to justify the blade/driver combos

It's Xenoblade 1's fault, really. Uninspired story, bland characters, empty world, shitty repetitive combat, etc.
They've just continued this trend and somehow its gaining traction as a series

Im convinced nothing will ever top turn based combat

>doesn't understand the combat
>calls the enemies spongy

It's overrated by people who only play Nintendo RPGs and never touched a Xeno game before.

terrible character designs

Which same two things are you referring to out of curiosity. I remember just chaining double spinning edge and rolling smash over and over again because I had the ability to do the move again with no cool down after crits, while eventually building up orbs and bursting over and over again.

I recall a person saying the the Xenosaga series was "everything wrong with JRPG's in the early 2000's"

>I can save scum
How?

>gather a bunch of legendary cores
>save and back up save TP cloud
>make sure automatic back up is turned off
>go into game and open all cores
>if no desired blade close game and download save from Cloud
>rinse and repeat

ask me how i know you never played any of them

Honestly? It’s probably the best switch exclusive.

Horrible opening drag that lasts until Chapter 4.
Mechanics like the Blade gacha and mercenary missions that belong in a trash mobile game.
Unlikable protag and most characters belonging to some done to death and unfunny anime tropes.

The only thing I actually don't like about it is that it feels a lot like a singleplayer MMOG, but if I'm being honest even that is pretty minor. Everything else about it ranges from meh to pretty good.
I guess I just don't like MMOGs.

>obnoxious as fuck characters, everyone is basically an anime trope stereotype to its utmost extreme
>combat doesn't get good until a good 40 hours in when you're past the tutorials and have a small sum of unique blades at that point
>most unique blades are hidden behind obnoxious grindy gacha aspects, most of which you'll never see in a regular playthrough unless you follow some post-game autistic grind method meant for over 100 hours in
It's just Xenoblade but exponentially worse. It's a really hard recommend if you've played the first game already, and even to newcomers the game will feel very sterile and boring for the first dozens of hours of play.

Ok, did not know about cloud saves. Still, it is basically cheating

mc looks like a faggot

Look at the levels bro. ..

because it - and every other Xeno game - is incredibly easy to shit on due to a combination of
>convoluted insane plots and scenarios
>horrible menus
>solvable fixed combat
>awful ratio of story to gameplay
XB2 in particular has some godawful mechanics and terrible designs. awful series. it has a certain je ne sais quoi that makes it unique, but you can get that from any one game in the series and then drop the rest.

>horrible menus
Menus in XC2 are quite nice if you know what you are doing

look this mess yikes

Sure, but when Kos Mos has a .7 percent chance of popping up with max luck I don't mind cheating the Gacha shit. There's no reason to make getting her so difficult.

AHEM

Based post. Blade is not and will never be a true Xeno game and everyone on Zig Forums knows it. The fact that noone is replying to this post only strengthens our point.

They require more navigation than any other game in the series.

seventh post, best post. Xeno series died when Ninty got their hands on it and stripped it of all the interesting religious and sci-fi theming in favor of power-of-friendship shonenshit.

It filters people with low IQs and the median IQ of this board is ~80.

>too many cutscenes
>way too much dialogue
>too many anime cliches
>way too stringent and linear with no wiggle room or freedom
>too much disgusting sex fanservice
>unfinished and unpolished and needs a 20 dollar season pass just for content that should've been in the base game

Fuck off nintendie. You're the reason we're never getting a proper conclusion to Gears.

What do you all want from Xenoblade 3? Set in Neo-Alrest/Elysium, the ruins of the Bionis and Mechonis, or a brand-new world? Since it's pretty much a given, do you want them to introduce the technological aspects at the start, or keep the slow buildup to the sci-fi?

Agree with literally all of this. What the fuck is Japan's insistence on putting a bunch of cringey coomershit into their games?! You'd get a way better product if this were developed by...say...Rocksteady or Epic Games.

It's underrated.

I do notice that the fans of X2 seem much more sensitive to criticism than fans of X1 or XCX.

this game is only known for the two girls shameful

Xenoblade 2 is the proper spiritual successor to Gears.

And the story.
And the combat.
And the OST.
And the art direction.
And the environments.
And so on.

Depends, is the next game going to be some kind parallel world like Xenoblade 1 and 2, or will it be it's own thing like XCX? I'd like them a sequel of sorts to XCX.

I'll give you environments and possibly ost. Never in hell are you getting story and combat.

ikr??????? This is probably one of the worst 2010s RPGs no cap

Cope

That's a filtered.

Literally nobody who gives a shit about this trash game talks about this, only the coombait.

Literally people literally do.

Finished chapter 4 today, apparently the worst part of the game. I'm having a blast though, can't believe Zig Forums got filtered by it.

>things that are never discussed in any xeno thread, so people can talk about their waifus and muh cinematic story. See

Doesn't care about the gameplay, only about the story.
