Never mind, I didn't read the whole list. Without consoomers, journalists are irrelevant. It's tough between them and cinematic movie games, but I think if you just take away consoomers, all the bad stuff would go away since they don't have anyone to cater to.

Movie games, however, ruin what could have been a decent experience. Take GOW4 for example. If not for the narrative that every game needs to be cinematic, and it instead delivered on the same type of gameplay as the previous 4, it would have been decently fun.
Cinematic games are by far the worst thing to happen to modern vidya.

Or RDR2, there's no gameplay. There's no fun, everything is heavily scripted set pieces that you can't actually do in the game. Before in San Andreas, everything was possible. Now they are simply on-rails movies with the open world just being a vector to get from Point A to Point B

Open world is bar none the worst. Epitome of the quantity over quality approach to modern AAA game design. Even in a movie game, at least the time is at least spent creating something that could have some entertainment value to someone. In an open world game, most of the time is spent creating areas that do nothing but artificially extend the play time by making the player pointlessly wade through a bunch of unnecessary horseshit, which retards lap up because it's "immersive"
If the mentality behind these games didn't exist, most of the rest of that shit wouldn't be a problem
