Look up a guide. Good luck.
it has nothing to do with "guides", it simply doesn't want to work that's it.
Use an USB cable.
Why not just use a USB cable and DS4Windows?
Shoulda just bought an Xbox controller, those come with a little USB stick to connect to instead of using gay bluetooth shit.
An Xbone controller just works
Use DS4Windows, even if you have bluetooth. The adapter can be fucky too, at least if you have a usb one. Not worth the hassle imo, but unsurprisingly, Microsoft doesn't really have native support for the controller.
usb cable and steam auto picks up the controller.
I'm going to say the M word
mya-nee!
I bought one and the slightest twitch disconnects the controller. And then when it disconnects you have to reinstall the driver almost every single time.
I use it, the problem is that it misses the signal once in a while.
>the slightest twitch disconnects the controller
maybe spend more than $1 on a cable next time
nakadashi
your controller is the issue then, return and get a different one.
Sounds like a problem with the USB cable. Get a new/proper one. Mine disconnects sometimes too but it's fixed in 1 sec and I never have to reinstall drivers or anything like that.
Blame Sony
>I use it, the problem is that it misses the signal once in a while.
Yeah, the same thing was happening to me, which basically made it worthless imo. It's ok if you sit like 1-2 feet from the usb, anything more and it's a lot more common too. Was trying it on Dark Souls 3 and Spelunky 1 and basically made those impossible.
bluetooth in general is terrible
how it became an industry standard is beyond me
>it works on my machine
I guess that's pc gaming for you. I'll just buy a generic controller with a cable.
Yes, it's a pain in the ass.
>running Dual Shock 3 with a programmed bluetooth hub
How can you not do it you retard?
Why are you even using the basic inbuilt bluetooth? You're not supposed ot
>not just buying a generic BTdongle and trying different software to connect it
I bought a generic dongle. Let me guess, I need a better dongle or something. Then I buy it and when it arrives it isn't good enough. I'm just tired of this.
Werks on my machine.
I'm running Scarlet and I've almost never had troubles other than certain games clamming up and having delayed inputs - specifically blocking and attacking in dark souls (if I block and attack in just the right sequence the attack won't register until I release or repress the block button).
For all I know that's a game issue because it works just dandy with everything else and that issue comes up very rarely anyway
Don't use inputmapper. Just use DS4tool.
>I guess that's pc gaming for you
you would have the exact same issue if you used a shitty cable with a console

err, okay.
Don't be a whinny ass bitch op. This can be easily fixed with the $9 bluetooth adapter from Amazon, don't cheap out. I used to use a generic $2 adapter from China which also happened to be 2.0/3.0 , that was the reason the controller wasn't working properly. Also speaking from personal experience connect the adapter to a usb port located on the front on the pc, this will prevent any interference.
