You are correct, sir.

are you implying a contrast?

because no one goes to the library

No, look at what sseth did to some indie games by giving away his code or a link to download a pirated copy, the games always got way more popular

>waits until he's right next to him to close the window

No, there is no evidence whatsoever. It's also not called piracy.

look at all porn games specifically the high quality ones. pirating hurts but with enough people its negligible goes both ways though. Its why you dont see a lot of rance type games in the west there is a market for it but people refuse to pay for it.

imagine being indian

For books specifically, piracy has been proven to increase sales.

ancap here,

'Intellectual Property' isn't real. For something to be considered 'property' it has to be possible for me to deprive you of it by taking it from you or taking you from it.

If it can be replicated an arbitrary number of times without depriving one of its original then it's not theft and there is no victim.

That said, the man-hours, effort, private investment (or crowd-sourced investment) therefore risk, means that the market may or may not value it enough to pay for the asking price (prices are set somewhat arbitrarily in something like games or any art/media because it has more to do with distribution models but most of the modern distribution models are out-dated since we mostly purchase media digitally anyway.

A dev and distributor might set a price point according to some rubric of quality and cost to deliver a release version plus all the day 1 patches and subsequent content/patches, but it's pretty arbitrary.

My philosophy as an artist with a patreon and as an Anarcho Capitalist is that if you like an artist, you ought to support them monetarily on some level. Even if you pirate all their content you should, at least some time in the near future, buy some of their stuff or donate to them.

You should feel guilt if you buy lottery tickets, drugs, and simp for camwhores, then don't pay artists for the work you like. But if you're starving and just want to download a doujin who's also probably living in a hovel then whatever. Just keep the artists you pirated from in mind if you do ever some day make lots of money.

Lmao fuckin retard.
>If you steal it that means the author gets paid!

>Just keep the artists you pirated from in mind if you do ever some day make lots of money.
or i'll just not give a shit
just because you make something doesn't entitle you to my money

>people pirate product
>may buy it if they like it, otherwise would have never bought it
>will discuss product online, advertising it for free and increasing sales
