What is the worst 3D Zelda?
What is the worst 3D Zelda?
your favorite one
I personally thought TP was the worst. The railroading, ugly graphics, neverending cutscenes, unfun shit like the wolf transformation made it the first Zelda I didn't finish. WW certainly had it's fair share of problems but TP made them worse. SS is worse than TP in many aspects but I found myself having more fun with the combat. Didn't beat it either though.
Aonuma is cancer and completei misunderstands Zelda. Miyamoto and Koizumi should have kept their involvement up with Zelda.
Without a doubt, Wind Waker:
>Looks goofy as shit and childish
>Rushed as fuck and incomplete, missing dungeons and content
>Terrible sailing and fetch quest with triforce shards
>Puzzles are for kindergarteners
>The start of Nu-Zelda faggotry by Aonuma
Skyward Sword simply because it fails the most important foundations for a Zelda game: good controls.
if you say anything other than skyward sword you're a dumb fuck mouth breather
the worst is either wind waker or majora's mask
objectively
oot, tp, they're pretty understandable -lttp formula in 3d,
ss is a dead horse but if you're old enough to remember when it came out it was beloved you might be wise enough to understand that the innovative controls are in fact the best part of the game
now mm & ww, having bounced back in popular think tank relatively recently, they're quite divisive due to changing up the formula a bit -mm pads out a lot of content with the time gimmick, &ww masks (lol) its loading screens with the ocean sailing gimmick, underneath they share a lot of similarities but if you dislike the gimmicks then the games become rather offensive
Twilight Princess.
It had the potential to be the best one but falls flat in every aspect.
I haven't played it yet, but from everything I know about, my answer would be without a doubt, Breath of the Wild
But as for those I have played, TP. Didn't like the wolf shit, didn't like the general uselessness of most items outside their designated dungeons, didn't like the lack of literally anything to find in an exploration-based game except worthless ass money and heart pieces, didn't like the art style, can't remember anything I did like
Twilight Princess. It’s terrible
I will say TP too, not because it's bad, but because it was the one that showed us that the formula was getting stale.
Botws the worst by far, has no redeeming qualities to it besides something its horrible climbing mechanic that only children like.
You're a Moron. MM is filled to the brim with content and it's almost entirely gameplay. between dungeons the world is a sandbox with a shitton of quests to do at your leisure. That isn't filler, it's gameplay. TP on the otherhand is literally filler. Padding sections like the twilight bugs, forced minigames, etc. that take hours of your playtime by the end. MM is fast, and nothing takes very long
To pretend that TP is "LTTP in 3D" shows you have an enormous misunderstanding of LTTP. LTTP is almost entirely gameplay - virtually no cutscenes or railroading. TP drags you from one cutscene and fetchquest to the next across the game. It's terrible.
Skyward Sword
>Fi being worse than Navi
>shit controls
>some aspects that feel like padding. Like Tadtones
>Harp sucks total shit
>ruined the lore of the series
I beat Wind Waker HD as my first Zelda, and it was just okay/good, shard hunt was trash though
BotW however I've tried twice and quit both times around the 5 hour mark, not long after leaving the Great Plateau
so BotW is shittier than WW, for what it's worth
>The start of Nu-Zelda faggotry by Aonuma
Majora's Mask was the first Zelda by Aonuma
You know they probably added these zoom-ins because of a retarded playtester.
>actually fucking thinks TP is worse than skyward bore
what the fuck, yes the wolf link sections sucked but at least most of the game was fun, it had a lot of personality and personally most of the dungeons were fun, also not sure how you can call the graphics ugly, they look great emulated/HD version
its weird to me they kept the sailing after they cut the ocean underworld, thats the only way having these vast amounts of empty space would have been fun. Were they too far in developement to scrap it? really strange
I can't believe you people are still bitching about the art style *17 years* later, despite having numerous "realistic" entries into the series since then.
I liked Skyward Sword but I have to say it's that simply because of some serious glaring flaws
skyward sword. only one without an actual overworld or any exploration. some of the most backtracking outside of phantom hourglass. completely forgettable items. only zelda that requires wagglan to fight. the lore of the game is pretty decent, but that's about it. skyward sword and majora's mask are the only two I wouldn't bother replaying. the others are worth at least returning to.
>>Looks goofy as shit and childish
Retarded opinion. The art style has aged the best of the 3d Zeldas and the main argument against is "not mature enough for my children's adventure game"
>>Rushed as fuck and incomplete, missing dungeons and content
Applies to literally every 3d Zelda and probably every Zelda in general. They all have mounts of cut content
>>Terrible sailing and fetch quest with triforce shards
Yes
>>Puzzles are for kindergarteners
As are most Zelda puzzles
>>The start of Nu-Zelda faggotry by Aonuma
No, that was MM
I don't think TP is bad, but I've played all Zelda games as they were being released and TP was just OoT on steroids so it didn't impressed me. SS on the other hand I found it was very fresh and pretty dynamic even if being very linear and the motion controls worked fine by me, though I know some people dislike it just for that.
For myself, it's that SS are least drops you into sections that feel like uninterrupted gameplay. I haven't played it since the month of released so maybe my memory is bad. The swordplay as also genuinely fun. The pacing shit is definitely worse than TP though
for me the worst is TP, dont get me wrong i like it, but compared to others world is big but empy (ww have same but you get rewards), wolf link forced and boring, boss boring. the only good thing is minda hentai
I think the long ass sailing time between islands exist pretty much just to mask load-times.
Skyward Sword hands down.
>Fi
>can't fly at night
>only 3 area hubs
>Hylia and Demise were stupid retcons
>game tells you what treasure and bugs are every time you find it on the ground
>motion controls got stale quick
>low variety of enemies
>the imprisoned
>the imprisoned
>the imprisoned
BOTW no debate, it's a reskined failure project
TP isn't OOT on steroids though, it's an attempt to recreate OOT without understanding a single thing about what made OOT fun. It's the sub 100iq, pseudo intellectual cousin of OOT. While yeah you go dungeon to dungeon and they gave similar themes, TP is extreme anti-OOT in terms of design. OOT, like I've said about LTTP, is almost entirely gameplay. TP isn't
I liked Skyward Sword's linearity a lot; there was a lot less of a feeling of going through a bunch of useless empty space in it. Even the sky felt small. I liked its art style more. I enjoyed its story, it felt like there was more than one character with personality. It had some useful shit to find if you bothered with the side activities. Didn't like the controls and could have done without Fi, but it wasn't enough to tank the game entirely.
damn never thought of that, Id rather a loading screen honestly.
either majora's mask or breath of the wild. majora is a tedious chore that's only saved by interesting presentation and quests, and breath of the wild is a bad open world game that doesn't play like zelda at all
You can dislike and say many negative things about BOTW but a failure project it isn't in any way.
>MM is filled to the brim with content
kek, no more than any other zelda, and as I said (rightfully so) it is completely padded out with the time scheduling of events unlike , well pretty much every other game
> the world is a sandbox with a shitton of quests to do at your leisure
*not to do at your liesure*
that is fundamentally the problem with mm, if you (again rightfully so) arent so obstinate you would see the time gimmick of mm as really fluffy and an arbitrarily restricting concept
>TP on the other hand is literally filler
lol, TP is filler? the world building and character construction? geesh very obtuse user
> Padding sections like the twilight bugs, forced minigames, etc
do tell me of the etcetera
I happen to like the tears of light segements in TP, they give the opportunity to scope out a new area you arrive to before fully exploring it in human form
-to that note I really love the wolf transformation, it actually combines 8 pieces of equipment & abilities into the most versatile form in the franchise
>LTTP is this or that *but not TP
that is your opinion and you're free to have it, however you are completely offbase with TP and seem to have a hate boner for it lol
so bottom line, mm seems to be everyones favorite lately but it isnt to everyone's liking, the time gimmick is hit or miss, and I think I mentioned in passing that the arbitrary and inconsistent rules of time travel throw me off
-you keep bows, a fully upgraded sword, boss remains, masks
-but you lose arrows, rupees not in the bank (you fucking defraud a bank?!), bombs, magic
-so why not keep everything, what does it matter, does that newfangled 3ds rom patch even do that? most of you dont even like the base rom and again that is another batch of wormlets
the 3ds version is superior to the original in *every way* and the only reason to play the original is for a vibe out of curiosity
Easily Skyward Sword. This isn't even a contest.
for me TP felt very unique, people think it's an OOT ripoff because it takes place in a similar hyrule but it's wierd tone, characters and locations were great, SS was almost entirely devoid of any edges, it's just so dull despite taking place in such a different setting
Skyward sword. TP and WW were both amazing as far as I'm concerned
ss
Skyward Sword is the weakest, it relied way too much on the motion gimmicks and the worlds were crafted in around the motion functionality so much that they removed any sense of exploration and became just puzzles to be solved, as well as the enemies.
That being said, I must admit I did have fun waggling the sword and some dungeons were really cool, with the Ancient Cistern being the highlight of the entire game. Also, I think SS and WW styles benefits from still looking good despite it's age, Twilight Princess is just too bleak kinda ugly to look at nowadays but it benefited of having a great OST and better companion.
I fucking love shard hunt because it made exploring every nook and cranny of the great ocean part of just finishing the game. Faggots constantly complain about it because they don't have the attention span to visit every cell of the great ocean while doing side quests to make bank to decipher charts. I fucking love it because for once 100%fags get a challenge that plays into the actual main story of the game.
Also
>Puzzle that is literally optional and right at the very end of the game is somehow representative of every other puzzle in the game
There's never anything as obnoxious as that one in any other part of the game.
