Well, this makes me worried that Purah and Robbie aren't playable.

All the playable character art so far has included their weapon prominently and had additional visual affects around them to make it more dynamic.
Kohga, Hetsu and Roam all fit that style, but Purah and Robbie don't.

They're going to be npcs that upgrade your weapons, exclusively in a menu with less than 10 animations combined.

We've already seen the weapon npc.

Yeah, if anything I imagine they'll be used to either make new gear or upgrade some base stat stuff.
And of course they will have some role in the story going by the trailer we saw of them.

Saw a video going over theories on the cloaked figure that brought up something interesting I hadn't seen discussed.

He/she isn't just wearing a Gerudo symbol, but also gold bling that's clearly Gerudo based.
Specifically, the neckless and headband thing they're wearing is exactly like the ones that Urbosa and Riju wear (only obviously with an Eye of Malice over the front of the headband).

What if this person really is a Gerudo, and specifically previous Gerudo royalty? Some Gerudo chief of the past before Urbosa's time that got involved with Malice and wound up being corrupted leading to their skin becoming pale?
If they are the fortune teller, that could also explain why the King would have trusted them, seeing as they'd probably have been a known Gerudo ally in the past.

No. Because unlike Rito and Zora belong genetic cousins, Koroks at LITERALY Kokiri who have taken magically alternate forms. They are “Spirits of the Forest” aka Forest Kamis. They can take on form the Great Deku Tree needs them to be.

Kokiri do not reproduce, they don't evolve like other species. They are children of the deku tree, they are the same thing even if they look different.

Link was already implied to be a musou tier powerhouse. There's a memory cutscene where it's implied Link killed like a half dozen Lynels and tons of Bokoblins without breaking a sweat. Heck in another it's implied Link killed like a hundred Guardians in his last stand defense of Hateno

Basically the reasonable theories around the figure so far seem to be:

And it could be any combination of those as well. Hell, it could even be all of them if they make it convoluted enough.

Master Kohga is an inherited title, not his real name.
Most likely, the Kohga in BotW is the son of the Kohga in AoC and they just look and act exactly alike for the same reason Paya looks almost the same as Impa.
In fact, it could even be that Giga Yiga actually is AoC Kohga's son who takes over after his father dies in AoC and winds up growing old, fat and goofy like his old man due to too many bananas, thus becoming BotW Kohga.

This version of link is canonically a one man army, if it bothers you that much its likely he loses his OMA abilities when hes resurrected, as robbie even comments on his old wounds.

For other characters like Zelda maybe. But link is perfectly capable of demolishing entire armies alone, musou or not. He literally almost died only when he was completely swarmed by guardians and everyone else was dead.
