French preggo lady and moslem husband join an expedition to 1937 Algeria, they crash in the desert and all are turned into ghoul except main lady who bitches and moan for the entire game and never shuts up about MUH BABBEE and MUH SALEEEM. In the end she goes into another world and either leaves her baby there and turns into a ghoul or goes back to Paris with the baby

Im about 4 hours in, it has a very slow start and even when it does get going it still isn't any where near as scary as TDD, in fact I will go so far as to say it hasn't been scary at all

It's so forced too. Like you can tell it's some bitch in a recording studio, she doesn't sell the feeling of panic or confusion at all. Imagine if instead she went something like:

it would be a much more convincing reaction than "French Mutt encounters weird thing take #231123"

Pregnant woman takes on monsters solves puzzles and takes the lives of other people to save her child.

Is the gameplay better than Amnesia? Or is it more "walk around and hide when a monster appears and don't look at at it"?

I found it scary but only because I'm a complete pussy who would be scared in these environments even if it weren't a horror game.

I'm getting scared thinking about having to watch another Salim/baby cutscene.

it's so weird too because the dialogue and voice acting in SOMA was really good, not distracting at all.

It's the exact same. They haven't developed it since DD. There's nothing new except you can light a torch? It's the same 'walk around, pick up and rotate a plate, then leave.' gameplay. Except you literally can't die now.

6 hours in and I don't think I can finish this garbage. I have been a huge Frictional fan since the first Penumbra, but this game is just so painfully bad and not fun in the slightest.

well there is one different thing in that you can light multiple candles/lanterns with one match, but they limit you to 10 matches so it probably equals out to be the same as tinderboxes.

Not sure why people are complaining about this game, it just seems like more Amnesia. No issues with it so far, having fun

Unnecessary dialogue is a fucking death sentence for games that set out to immerse you in the experience, especially if it's a horror game.

I have been sprinting for like 2h now. In previous games i always took it slowly and carefully while solving puzzles and exploring, but here feels like I have to run all the time so I can find any light source.

Always wondered why pregnant survival horror wasn't more of a thing.

The whole take baby go to Paris ending was just wish fulfilment from the gaping hole left by Bioshock Infinite

This game is literally an interracial pregnancy simulator. The entire game is spent either walking around looking at bland empty environs or watching the French chick rub her pregnant tummy while talking about "Salim" (her African sperm donor). Then you have to fight over the mixed race baby with some intergalactic alien bitch, who also wants to raise the baby. And to top it all off the dev team is from Sweden? Are you fucking kidding me?

The white doctor tries to kill her baby by sacrificing it. The protagonist murders him violently. If you can't see the propaganda in this then you are blind.
