>still no sub-$200 card with RTX/DLSS support
It’s like they WANT me to just get a console, and keep my current budget rig for old/low-spec games.
>inb4 “poorfag”
Then why did you tell me PC was cheaper?
PC is cheaper
console equivalent PC is not
>Then why did you tell me PC was cheaper?
because games and online are dirt cheap or free
I only ever emulate games from ps2 or before.
well list the fucking game you faggot shilling bitch
You don't need DLSS if you can render the games at native res, retard.
>Cold War
>Cyberpunk
>WoW
>a few indie titles
>Edge of Eternity
>Xuan Yuan VII
>Watch Britbongs
When are we getting general DLSS support? The games I want to use DLSS on aren't the new AAA shite they putting out today.
>control
I love how this game is constantly used by these FPS test faggots when the game IS FUCKING SHIT.
I don't care if I can play Control at 10000000 fps at 8k. It's shit.
>caring about autistic levels of anti-aliasing
why are penis guzzlers like this?
Literally don't even know those names kek
Because it looks just as good most of the time, but increases framerate?
Control is the new Ashes of the Singularity
Not that they’re good games, but how have you never heard of CoD, WoW or Cyberpunk? Do you live under a rock?
>edges still look jagged in 2020 on high end cards
Why bother adding more things when even AA is not mastered?
So it's like interlacing
Bullshit.
Who cares the right doesn't look good enough to invest the money required into upgrading for it. You'd have to be a total fucking retard to bother.
>not one good game
we did it nvidibros...
The point of DLSS 2.0 is so you can have realtime reflections with RTX without tanking performance, at least post a comparison image that shows that sort of shit off instead of just sharpening.
the point of dlss is to use subsampling to upscale a low resolution using post processing effects
Yes but thats so you can justify having RTX on because nobodies going to tolerate 20fps just for reflections and some better light scattering.
>Want to get an RTX card
>Can't find any that are reasonably priced, and a great upgrade
>Want to get a 3070
>Chances of getting one, near impossible
GTX 970, I could get a second hand 2070 Super for maybe 600-700 Canadian, but a 3070 would be about $750 roughly and obviously would be the better choice(warranty/new release so it's quality insured etc)
damn i sure with i could fucking buy a gpu that supports dlss 2.0 oh wait they made literally 100 of them worldwide and called it a release
>WoW
what does it need dlss and ray tracing for? i'm playing it on high settings in 1440p at 150fps with a fucking r9 380
>lists the weebshit but not bannerlord 2
It's impossible, it works using an AI that needs to be trained on gameplay specific to the individual game. It may be possible to automate the process of adding support for each game, but it's never going to be fully generalized.
they added it to avengers and it gives like 10% performance, its a meme unless nvidia spends tons of resources making it good like in control etc
DirectML will replace the need for DLSS
Isn't DLSS just a way for games with shitty optimization to run in 4k? Ideally you would want to run the game natively in 4k.
because the graphical fidelity required to match consoles is just about baked in to every cpu.
If you think otherwise you'll be coping forever.
>spend 600 on a pc
>play an entire 2 generations of console games at or above console parity
>spend 500$ × 2 (mid cycle refresh) for consoles
>have to pay to use your own online
or you could just become used laptop and retro emu master race and spend like 200$ to play every game ever made before the year 2006.
4k is a meme, dlss 2.0 is a way to have RTX features on without raping your framerate and it's actually impressive when you see it working, the first version had a lot of issues with ghosting and anti-aliasing thin objects
Per-game training was DLSS 1.0. The current DLSS 2.0 no longer requires per-game training and uses a generic neural net and upscaling algorithm.
What each game actually does need to provide/implement is passing motion vectors to the DLSS black box, basically telling it how pixels move between frames. Once those are provided, the engine still needs to do some adjustments to the rendering pipeline (e.g. render certain things for target DLSS resolution vs internal render resolution).
Any game with TAA implement can implement DLSS fairly easily because TAA already utilizes motion vectors. It's not zero additional work but it's not prohibitive. Any game that doesn't support TAA will either never get DLSS support or will need an update for everything I've just mentioned.
what resolution?
970 will play all next gen games at 1080 30.
Just wait until 4000 series when PC's rape the shit out of these new consoles. Then you can also upgrade your mobo and cpu to utilize PCie 4
Red Dead 2 is the ONLY game that needs it at this point. Bannerlord and CoD aren't GPU limited LMAO
Red dead 2 runs fine without pissing around with such features, what're you going on about?
