Halo 2, probably, since 2 has the best core gameplay and best maps, and you also would get H2A.

That being said, Halo 3 is probably the most active. Reach I expect decently would as well, and Reach's forge is better then 3's.

But you can buy all of MCC for like 60$, just buy the whole collection
