I remember a thread that actually went along with the idea of this, but with a Sophisticated AI whose prime directive is to harvest as much semen as possible vs self replicating robot barbarians that run on semen.
You can easily swap out the replicating robots for creatures whose primary diet consists of semen.
Or the other way around with a Creature Hivemind that subsists on cum vs the Semen Powered Robots.

Alright then if you wanna talk Gameplay.
The Creature scenario is obviously more combat oriented as the creatures are physically powerful and have the instinct to attack human settlements for breeding stock, scavenging for parts and weaponry to fight of the creatures.
The Machine Scenario would be more stealth/puzzle oriented as they have already taken over everything, using the predicability and certainty of the machines against them in other to escape the facility.

Machines that look like creatures

Machines that use semen to power themselves would not have sex with you. It's not efficient enough. They'd strap you down in a matrix like pod, keep you in a consistent comatose state then extract the semen on the most effective cycle while keeping you alive as long as physically possible.
If they caught you, that would be it, you'd basically be dead after that. You wouldn't be able to think or feel, the second you are taken and strapped down, you would feel your consciousness slowly drop into blackness and that'd be that. There would be no pleasure or anime moments. It'd be the worst possible outcome for you. No emotion, no anything. A robotic cycle much like how humans mass produce beef; i.e. cows.

Creatures on the other hand have the potential to be more than mindless automatons. Many animals in the wild have been seen to care for their mates or children.

But the semen the machines receive using those methods wouldn't be high enough quality to meet their demands. They need it to come from a conscious, sentient specimen otherwise they would simply create everything they need in a lab without humans at all. They seek the humans out because the humans have something they don't. Turning us into defective single-purpose machines wouldn't be a solution to their problem. We need to be free range humans otherwise the eggs don't taste good, so to speak.

Creatures outcome is 100% better than machines, there is no fucking contest.

Creatures because the possibilities are endless. I'm uninstalling that shit if there's one based on spiders though.
