it was never worth it, they are bad controllers, wait to see how next gen ones are
I got one with my console and I actually really hate it. I don't like the feel of xbone controllers in the first place but the weight makes this just feel absolutely humongous.
However, my main gripes are the sticks. Because they're metal, they have a lot more weight, and therefore momentum when you release them.
I was playing fighting games and in every game, my character would crouch for a second after a jump. Turns out the momentum from releasing the stick at the top of its radius swings it back down and registers another input.
What a load of shit.

I had the first one and it fell apart and the paddles on the back sucked. I’m a consoomer so I bought the second one and it’s much better. I’ve never been good at sniping but now suddenly I’m getting ridiculous sniper kills. It’s also nice that you can charge it inside it’s little carrying case
Round three when it comes out for the seriesex will be more worth it though I’m sure
No, my LB failed (bumber jumper) less than year in. Got it warrantied and the brand new one they sent back has a semi responsive A button. Don't le the premium marketing fool you, they are anything but that.
Just got my Elite 2 in the post yesterday. I was surprised at how small it was. I've never owned an Xbox One controller (only 360) and was under the impression they were significantly bigger than PS4 but apparently not.
Feels like a nice controller to hold in my hand. I wish the face buttons felt clickier like the 360 did but it's whatever. Have yet to actually use it in a game because not all my PC parts have arrived yet.
By the way if anybody here could possibly hook me up with a cracked version of rewasd (the ONLY controller mapping software that lets you remap Elite paddles to keyboard keys) that would be rad. Doesn't seem to be a crack fucking anywhere.
I sent mine in for service and it got nigged in shipping
fightans are supposed to be played with a d-pad user
ITS GONNA BE A FUCKING $180 PAPERWEIGHT IN 4 MONTHS
so yeah, sure i guess
It’s a piece of shit. My friend bought one and it broke less than a year in.
some guy is sueing Microsoft with a class action lawsuit over these controllers because theyre so poorly built and are guaranteed to fall apart
i went back to my Series 1. my Series 2 has horrible analog drift on the left analog stick, literally the only thing i can play with it is FH4. attempting to play anything results in me wanting to kill myself
really depends on the game. For 2D fighters I tend to use Dpad, while shit like Tekken and Soul Cal I use sticks. And MKX for some reason.
user you are actively disadvantaging yourself by doing that. In both games. The 3D movement aspect might seem like it is logical for analog sticks but in both games d-pad precision is required
yeah hopefully I can get in on that, anyone with even a slight understanding of engineering can tell you that the bumpers were built to fail
Is there any chance the SeX controller will be decent?
>he can't use an analog stick
sad
>180 dollars for a console controller
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Thank god I'm not living in america where 90 days warranty is somehow normal.
Only had Series 1 Elites. I don't know about S2.
As for S1 the rubber grips are guaranteed to fall off. It was 6 months for me for both. Apparently this is only an issue if you use them a lot (my friends had no issues) which is kind of a joke because this supposed to be a pro controller.
First one I have for 5 years no other issues other than the paint came off a little on one of the triggers. Works pretty good and still very responsive. HOWEVER. I bought a second one little more than a year ago and the right stick started drifting just after the one year warranty was over. This was a huge disappointment and felt a waste despite I bought it for half the price as the original controller.
This stopped me from buying a S2 so far. Not only it is more expensive for seemingly no reason (S1 was built on top of the OG XBO controller without BT and other stuff) but what if it dies in 1 year? Luckily the warranty laws will change from January 1 in my country and MS will be forced to give 2 years for the controller instead of 1. If it only holds out for 2 years ~X months it is still bad but then it isn't a complete waste of money.
Never pay more than $100 for a controller.
Overpriced consoomer garbage. The only reason to spend the ridiculous amount of money on one of these controllers are the paddles. Bought a Series 2 a few months back and one of the paddles didn't register properly when pushed down. Got the controller replaced but after seeing a fair amount of other people with quality issues, I definitely wouldn't pay the asking price for a new one.
repulsive
WTF
Any affordable controllers with paddles?
Mine is perfect other than the fact it tends to disconnect for no reason on both Xbone and PC. No other Xbone controllers do this for me.
It's an Xbox controller but the dpad is a disco ball?
They have always been bad. I got one for free and I still feel ripped off. It was less than a year before the rubber grips started to peel off and making the dpad interchangeable ruined it because the cross dpad didn't fit 100% snug.
No it's just mosaic censored because it's lewd.
>dpad is a clit
I bought a series 2. It feels 'premium' but that's about it. Save yourself some money and get the regular one, there's not much of a difference in the end. There are also a lot of issues with these controllers that lots of other people have run into.
This is what keeps me from getting one.
Its a shame because the 360 controller was a fucking tank.
>dpad is kinda shit again
I mean Linus is a retard and he hasn't really tried it in-game but it seems like it's not exactly great for anything where you'd want to heavily use the dpad.
Goddamnit, I just use a new PC controller.
