I really love the idea of master's not being completely fucking useless. I'm actually a fan of this, and it makes sense as others have said because shirou fucking sucked. This guy and Shirou's father in Fate/Zero where fuucking badass. I especailled liked Shirou's father because he wasn't even a rel mage, he basically just a Spec Ops dude; and i love it when humans are the underdogs but can still win against shit ods by using human technology.

It's an alternate universe with Servant Cards and the main characters use the cards to gain the appearance and abilities of a servant. Kiritsugu and Irisviel are alive, too.
Also loli yuri. A fuck tonne of glorious loli yuri.

7.5/10 - gets serious later on but still fun to read and watch. May get you arrested in certain countries.

nvm, i saw your title and searched for bazett and got fate/kalied. I haven't heard of that one. I've only seen fate/stay night and fat/zero admittidettly; there was some others on shitflix, but they took place in some distant future featuring computers and and stuff and i didn't like them. i'll have to give this one a shot.

Maybe Fate is not so bad after all.

Bazett was pretty based

moon computer is Fate/Extra. It's weird but makes sense in context. Also has the worst Saber Fite me, umu is pure garbage.
The Grand Order mobile game has an anime adaptation and it's slightly more normal, with the protagonist and his servants going back in time to various eras to restore history.
There's also the best spinoff, Today's Menu for the Emiya Family, which is a slice of life spinoff set after the events of F/SN where Emiya cooks food for people.
Fate/Apocrypha is set in an alternate timeline where the events of Zero and Stay Night never happened and the Holy Grail War is now in Transylvania. This also shows off Mordred, so you can learn more about the end of Artoria's life from the other side.
Lord El-Melloi ii Case Files is set after Zero but before Stay Night, with Waver being the main character. He's now the second Lord El-Melloi and is a part of the Clock Tower politics, while acting as a teacher and a kinda-sorta detective.
Carnival Phantasm is a comedy series featuring characters from Stay Night and Tsukihime/Melty Blood. Only watch if you know enough about those or you'll have no idea what's going on for half of each episode, but it's super good.

should I read fate/stay night? is it honestly any good? All I know about the series is that the MC cooms inside the girls to give them mana or something.

Bazett is technically a master in Stay Night but is mostlykilled off screen. She summoned Cu (Lancer) but stupidly trusted Kirei (priest).
Lord El-Melloi ii is the obvious call out for a badass ex-master, so his show counts.
Aprocypha has some moments too, IIRC.
