Skyrim is unplayable now

>Trash gameplay
>Trash builds
>Trash story
>Aged worse than any other game
>Mods are shit

Thank you for your time. Also, pic related soul vs soulless.

>now
both are shit

i don't even remember what vanilla skyrim looks like
i can only remember elves looking horrible

Stop crying about it user

oblivion sucked donkey dick and so did skyrim. fuck you op

No it’s not because I’m still actively enjoying and playing it, and I don’t even use sex mods.

My biggest problem with Skyrim to date is that it had a bunch of fucking mountains everywhere and yet it had the WORST movement mechanics out of all the TES games. Zero jump height, movement speed, or swim speed modifiers. Had to wait years for DLC that let you water walk even though that was a feature a decade ago in fucking Morrowind. No teleportation. No levitation. Not even fucking Feather. Just a shitty sprint button and this floaty, weak shit jump that barely got you over tables. Just indicative of how pathetic and neutered the gameplay got.

Oblivion is doubly unplayable

It's funny how the quality of a franchise (aka "soul") is inversely proportional to how hard the creators try to pander to casuals.

Oblivion is so much better than any other ES game that it's unfair to compare.
Morrowind aged somehow even worse than Skyrim, the game play is donkeyballs and the story and setting is overrated to high heaven. Literally baby's first ES game.

there's a lot of shit wrong with this image

Preferring Morrowind over Skyrim is a valid opinion. But no, you're an actual retard if you try to say that Oblivion is better than any other elder scrolls game besides arena and shadowkey. It's a floaty, ugly and plastic looking mess voiced by 4 british grannies and filled to the brim with "english humor".

Rogue one was a good movie tho

Never played Skyrim before but all I have to play it on is Switch. Switch version worth it or nah?

It's how I got started playing elder scrolls games. It's fine, but if at all possible play it on pc instead because mods will inevitably become a big part of why you play skyrim, and Im not just talking about the sex mods

No, the vanilla game is plenty fun on its own but you need mods for proper longevity. Plus, the pc version nets you enderal as well which is on a completely different level.

>but if at all possible play it on pc instead

My PC is a piece of crap and couldn't run it.

can your pc run games from 2011

>>Mods are shit
enderal is pretty nice

My PC is completely FUBAR, actually. I wasn't kidding when I said it's a piece of crap.

Soi wars was ALWAYS hot trash for 5 year olds and below. Kys ASAP

Fuck, that's sucks man. Well like said, the vanilla game is still fine on it's own and on Switch I remember it running perfectly fine, but mods are almost essential for staying invested long term. If you're not getting a pc that can run it anytime soon, the switch version is fine enough

>>Oblivion
>A lot of min-maxing impacting gameplay
>Build possibility immense, very few useful or fun
>Story, pretty good and pretty fun - even if a bit goofy by today's 'standards'
>Aged surprisingly well
>Mods are great, mods are really great

>>Skyrim
>Gameplay is simple and you don't have to worry about a thing, can do what you want almost whenever you want. For good or bad, depending on your perspective
>Limited builds, builds doesn't matter, you can switch as you please more or less. With enough autism you can be all builds in one. Kind of neat but really kind of gay too
>Story is kind of nice, executed very badly, worse than Oblivion
>Aged pretty well
>Mods are pretty good, but with the new version of Skyrim, you need to be online, make a bethesda account and shit like that to use mods, mods disable achievements. Max gay

I agree, it's unplayable now.

I feel like if you have to install a bunch of mods for a game to be good then it probably isn't that good to begin with. But I'll see if I can get it for a discount.

Im talking about the long term, like the people who end up playing for more than 150 hours or so pretty much all modded the game. It's true potential comes from the mods, there's a reason it has the most mods on nexus out of all the games listed, but that doesnt mean the game is literally unplayable without them. I sure as hell still had a good time playing it on switch before getting it on pc

>but with the new version of Skyrim, you need to be online, make a bethesda account and shit like that to use mods,
When was this changed?! I haven’t played in years, this sounds awful

Hes talking about special edition I believe. You can still get the original on steam, they just removed finding it from search. Go to the special edition's page and look at the reviews, there should be people linking to the original and its dlc

Oblivion thread? After fucking around with mods, I have a suggestion for anyone looking to start a fresh game with a new experience, or those that hated the vanilla systems, solved by two mods.
First and most important is "OblivionXP". This mod removes skill based leveling and the shitty minmax that comes with it, and instead introduces a system where you get experience and levels by completing quests, killing monsters, etc. At first I thought it would be shit because TES is all about skill based leveling, but after using it for a while, it's really grown on me and I recommend trying it.
Second is "Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul", which rebalances all the scaling in the game. Bandits won't have glass and daedric anymore, enemies are scaled based on location and only slightly on level, introduces a bunch of new stuff to play with. Less buggy and more modern than OOO, compatible with OblivionXP

>now
All Bethesda games are broken turds that need mods just to be playable

>that need mods just to be playable
Then explain the millions and millions who played and thoroughly enjoyed their games on consoles without any mods whatsoever.

You don't need to be online for either version. Unless you're on Xbox or something?

All I know is the original version doesnt have the creation club bullshit

Console retards

say what you want about the prequels but those movie posters were top tier

rogue one doesn't deserve to be placed under the sequel trilogy. it has its problems but overall its a good addition to the universe. I like how it has an OT vibe to it as well.

Realistic Leveling is also a good option, it removes the +5/+5/+5 grind by just making your attributes increase like your skills do and health is changed retroactively so you don't need to max out endurance early either.

This isn't true, you can still mod it like normal.

Waifu simulator

skyrim is good
not even near last jedi teir
lmao
fallout 76 is the last jedi
and creation club

I'm a numbers autist, so OblivionXP appealed to me more, but Realistic Leveling is also far better than vanilla.
