First game was much better and a bunch of coomer retards played this one first and spoiled the first game for themselves

Never played it because I played the first one and it sucked and I've played Platinum games before and they're all "push a button, something awesome happens" trash.

Just beat this yesterday. Good shit, cringy fandom. Definitely feel like a brainlet because the twist was 100% obvious if you did like any of the sidequests. Good use of subtlety in storytelling though, glad they kept dialogue somewhat sparse. Combat was pretty good but definitely got stale near the end. Shit final boss.

I liked it. Sometimes I go back and play again for the side missions and atmosphere. I’ll never understand people not liking the combat. It’s really cool and looks awesome/feels good to play.

The western box art is shit though.

what the hell is wrong with you. do you even have fun? I can understand people saying the combat is shallow but its responsive and you can switch weapons quickly while tearing through enemies... the animations are dope

For a Taro and Platinum collaboration I thought it was very disappointing.

I disliked DoD3. It had some neat concepts and was the precursor to everything that happened in both DoD and NieR universes. But its gameplay was pretty mediocre, and it was unnecessarily edgy for the sake of edge. DoD1 was also edgy and depressing, but it worked better there because everything was already quite fucked up by that point.

I'm 14 hours in.

When does it get good? Its a fucking single player MMO, and a mediocre one at that.
