YOU are shit. You understand that?
>I dont understand
clearly. go play a walking sim
The controls are fine on original hardware, and I can totally understand people not liking the controls if they've only played SM64 on Switch or emulator.
The controls really do feel a lot worse to me on anything that isn't a N64 controller.
The movement controls are great. It's the camera that sucks.
Also the n64 has a different dead zone then a modern analogue stick so it doesn't match up very well. Basically everyone saying it controls better on a real n64 are correct
n64 had special joystick
we get it, Zig Forums more than half of you are bad at mario 64. can we stop having daily threads?
Why is it that every time someone points out an aspect of a game they don't like Zig Forums's immediate thought is "that must mean the person is bad at game lol"?
They are. Once you've played through it a couple of times it becomes very easy
This.
He didn't claim the game was hard, that's just your projection.
Based
You have shit controls
They're great though.
Okay
I figured out something about Mario 64’s camera the other day that I hadn’t realised since the game launched: it is affected by the direction Mario is facing and would prefer to be behind him. If you find the camera is fighting you check which direction Mario is facing.
Not saying I'M doing this but just reminding everyone to sage and hide bait threads
I don't think he's into animal crossing
Its black and white. Because most people would stop playing and forget about it. Meanwhile everyone else got good and kept going. Show me in between then, why the fuck else would anyone complain about anything unless they just fucking suck at it? Why complain so much, huh
People praise it because of momentum and stuff.
The controls are fantastic. You just have to get used to Mario's momentum.
The controls on the Switch version are pretty much 1:1.
There is literally 20 years worth of footage that prove any statement against Mario 64's controls incorrect. Except the flying. There is no footage that proves it's anything beyond the bare minimum of acceptable.
Not that guy, but trying to perform long jumps on Switch is absolute shit. It's much more natural on the N64 controller.
Is this game meant to be played with an N64 controller? I remember the camera controls being a lot better with the original hardware.
might feel better on original hardware.
played it on switch with the joycons and i have trouble controlling the mario's with the switch control stick
What’s wrong with the flying? It’s one of the most fun things in the game.
>first free look 3D camera
>dogshit N64 controller
yeah it’s a game that actively works against having fun
That makes no sense. You can point out flaws in things without being bad at things. Or do you seriously think that people who are good at a game think the game is perfect and never complain about it? You'd be wrong. Pro player complain about shit in their games all the time. I don't get where people get this idea that complaining somehow corelates to skill from.
>>Everyone praises the controls
Take a look at the joypad you hold in your hands and say thanks to Mario 64 for giving you a way to play games.
I mean, the N64 controller was literally designed for Mario 64, but they're perfectly fine on the Switch, you can even choose which trigger button you want to press to do it and everything.
