Just curious

Just curious...

Do you guys enjoy any games that have been considered just plain bad?
As if you were the only person that enjoyed said bad game?

Pic related is mine. I actually loved this game despite the clunky controls and whatnot.

Am I alone (in the dark) in this regard?

No. I too played shitty games and somewhat appreciate the work behind the actual game you know. So the least I can do is beat the shitty game and be done with it. Pic not related

According to Zig Forums 70 % of the games I like is fucking garbage

Yeah, fair enough.

At least if you don't enjoy it I'm glad to hear that there are some that appreciate even the bad ones for the good that they're worth.

I just don't know if I'm the only one who enjoys bad games by appreciating the positive aspects that the game brings to the table.

I feel like this board just hates things because of the hive mind Zig Forums seems to be.

Sonic fans love shitting on this one but I liked it. It could have been way better but that's why the gimmick should come back. The whole on the fly character switching thing is popular right now as a mechanic in other game, this just didn't do anything interesting with it.

I DON'T HAVE YOUR STONE
AND FUCK YOU ANYWAY

As far as I know, I'm the only person in the world that liked The Last Guardian.

I know some dumb crazy furry girl who also like The Last Guardian

Please don't make me feel worse than I already do.

She was so fucking insane i had to tell her to fuck off out of my life. Imagine, me, some foreverer alone fuck up, who actually had a chance to slay some good pussy, had to tell her to fuck off because it was THAT bad.
She really liked the game.

i enjoyed deus ex invisible war

I can barely manage to get through the first level of this janky mess but I still like it.

An ass game in all senses of the word,
an the only reason i kept playing

I liked Left Alive. I would never recommend it though.

I played the demo of it. Seemed really cool. Never actually played though. Was it pretty fun?

I really tried to enjoy this game when it came out but it was actually really boring to me despite me beating it. I just wanted it to be over half way through the fucking thing.

Haha. I always wanted to play this as a kid just because the box art looked cool. Never could find it... Blockbuster or Hollywood video never had it. For shame.

I've never even heard of this shit... Seems kind of cool. Was it really that bad?

I loved it.
People don't seem to like it because the griffin is too slow to respond to your commands but it didn't bother me.

I enjoyed this game a lot back when it first came out, played it on pc so I never understood all the whining about the camera controls console users experienced. I was mostly hyped for a new AITD release since I loved the new nightmare. But in retrospect the 2008 game was just exceptionally cringy

I loved quake 2 for a long time and I have no idea it was even considered a "bad" game until I started coming here

oh yeah, all the time.
just like you, i enjoyed alone in the dark for what it was. i actually streamed it way back when twitch was called justin.tv.
had an ok amount of people watching it and we all had fun.

another game i enjoyed was 50cent blood in the sand. ended up being a weirdly fun arcade shooter

This game is legit good though. One of Mikami's underrated titles. Its pretty bare bones but there is certain appeal to just having the entire game laid out before you with no fluff or filler. I'd take this over a 60 hour open world snooze anyday.

You're not alone user, though I didn't know that this game had a bad reputation. I beat it both on the ps2 and the 360.

Well this is news to me. What makes it bad? I absolutely adored it on ps1.

It's shoddy all-around even for a AA game. Clunky and ugly with a forgettable story. I just really liked the feel of sneaking around a wartorn city with mechs about.

honestly beats me but there seems to be a large portion of fps fans that consider it to be the most boring of all retro fps with the only redeeming quality being the soundtrack. Apparently the environments are samey and bland, the guns are slow and the enemies are not challenging. That's the gist of what I've gathered

When we have threads it’s usually 80% positive. It was just consolewar bait at the time it released.

I would love to see The New Nightmare remade in a similar style to RE2 remake. Strawberry Sherbet.

Yeah

that game blew my mind the first time I played and thought it's pretty cool despite the weird controls

didn't know that it was considered bad
