The game itself is the problem. I mean it's a cute concept but I can see why it wasn't revisited again in any meaningful way. It lacks depth and the core gameplay mechanic is annoying and trash.

Should I get this if I liked the original? or did they fuck it up that bad?

if you play it with the intent as a single player game then you'll probably be fine

It should had been a red flag that it wasn't even getting a pc port. It means it's a shit game not worth porting to pc.

No, that's not quite true. There was plenty of anger when people saw how botched the multiplayer ended up being and the removal of local coop. There were other reasons, but can't which ones.

eh there's post-game hardmode dungeons which is basically the same dungeon but reskinned but it has a lot of new shit you can get (one of the most popular being a ring for yuke that increases magic damage by 15 which = +75 magic)

It's disappointed SE did make some multiplayer lobby where other players can connet and choose from the hosts characters (similar to the original), but for what the multiplayer was worth I've put 80 hours into the game since release, half of which is multiplayer alone, and had a lot of fun working together with randos online and teaching scrubs spell fusions. Call it cope, but it was enjoyable cope.

I didn't buy it because Zig Forums, but I do regret it. it's probably the worst videogame-related thing I've spent money on since feel the snow

I like the game. I only have like 1 friend that wants to play the game. So I’m better off by myself or with ransoms. No biggie

It's pretty much the same game with slight improvements like the storage moogle and organized diary cutscenes, though there are drawbacks from the original that are still there that should've been improved on like the cryptic side quests, no dedicated sheild/spell button and 8 second load times on ALL consoles (even PS4 Pro) entering/exiting areas with 16 seconds being the longest when entering your home town. Never got to endgame, but the bonus dungeons are only available during certain irl days or some shit(??) which is retarded.
Watch Hinkles review on it to get better insight on the game. He was a dude that played with us when the CC threads were active.

the endgame is fucking stupid when you realize you’re grinding only for the sake of grinding since there is no “end game super last boss” or anything like that so you beat it and then grind to play the same exact dungeons again with a color palette swap
