I remember there was like 1 swear word in the whole Amnesia: TDD. I think there were few in Penumbra(s) also. I know it's 2020 and the world has became quite vulgar already, so do we have to listen to main character and all day?
Sometimes I'd like to go back in the time machine maybe 20 years back at least where we were a bit more civil. Otherwise - 2 hours in, enjoying it, but the constant unnecessary swearing is off-putting a bit.

It's not a "bad game." However, it is incomparable to TDD, SOMA or even MFP. Common complaints are too much story, the voice actress talks too much and the spooks/gameplay is really lacking. It has really nice environments for a Frictional Game, but really lacks that soul that the old games and TDD & SOMA had.
It does have one milkie though.

You remember all those shitty indie horror games that came out between Amnesia The Dark Descent and Soma? The ones where you just walk around some stupid library, with no monsters, while your British main character narrates everything then the developers call it "lovecraftian" and it became such a cliche it killed the "horror games are scarier when you can't fight back" argument forever? This is that.
You walk around reading shit or your character narrating while no monsters show up for hours. This time it doesn't have SOMA's interesting setting and narrative to support it either. The worst part is I already see redditors giving this "GOTY" just because it's Amnesia even though I bet my shoes this is going to be Machine for Pigs 2 once the hype dies down.
Refund it while you still can't this isn't worth it and i don't think anyone will even bother making Custom Stories for this POS once they add in the modding capabilities.
I strongly suspect it's a major way (primarily male) developers can shoe-horn women into their games to appease the press. The scariest thing that can happen to a woman is a pregnancy and all the body horror that entails plays in nicely into horror. Too bad it usually blows. Babies/children in games seem to only work when they're with father figures (TLOU, Death Stranding).

The only two ways we've witnessed it being stopped is it nabbing Alexander with that breaking the curse some how and Weyer stripping it at the bequest of Agrippa.
