My questions is, where's the "master race" that PC gamers talk about?, if a majority of them have hardware that barely beats the base version of two consoles that were released seven years ago?/

1060 is better than a PS4 pro but your analysis is wrong. The 1060 is the highest instance of GPU but no one GPU makes up the majority of GPUs.

People don't update hardware when there is nothing worth doing it for. I bought new computers for n64 emulation and Oblivion but since then only when they actually die. Consoles holding back game requirements means PC hardware runs everything as long as it physically lasts. The only game that taxes hardware that comes to mind is dwarf fortress and I don't have the autism for it.

Most people use 1050ti-tier dogshit and play trash console-tier games like league of legends or fortnite. The whales with their $5000 simulator setups playing star citizen or elite dangerous or whatever are not the "average" pc gamer.
