"port" isn't really a fair word
these arent ports they are completely different games

anyway Midnight Club LA Remix for PSP

I included ports as well because there are some truly horrible examples of ports (pic related)

but yeah, the whole "same name, different game" thing which was prevalent in the mid 2000's has some fun examples

there are a couple i have urge to try, from what i understand most of these same name different games aren't very good but i heard max payne was a good one

and ones like driv3r are impressive on a technical level but awful to play

i've always wanted to try the (cancelled) psp version of Oblivion. i'd imagine they had to sacrifice an insane amount

Borderlands 2 for Vita, because it was an actual port, not a different game with the same title.

>12 FPS
jesus christ. and I thought the jak collection on vita was bad.

doom

The canceled Resident Evil port for GBC

isn't cel shading relatively expensive because you need to draw everything twice? if you're struggling for 15FPS why even bother with it?

It was going to be more of a different game. Not open world RPG, but more of linear action game like Dark Messiah

I got one like that better for you

Street Fighter 2 going from 48 bit to 16 bit on the SNES without ending up as a steaming pile of shit is still amazing to me to this day,

I'm still kinda amazed that it runs at all

yeah it may look like shit but it's a miracle its actually playable

soulless vs soul

I imagine they kept in in because the cel-shaded art style is sort of iconic to the series (for a lack of a better word). Though the games don't too much worse without it from what I remember.

how does it run in yuzu?

It's good.

Not really on topic but they made a game called DOOM RPG for mobiles (pre-smartphones)
It was a turn based game where you walk around levels fighting demons and finding secrets to upgrade your guns
Wasn't hard but was pretty fun

borderline PS2 era

Best question is, what's the weakest hardware DOOM was still good on? For me it's GBA. The system was actually the first time I did Nightmare mode runs. It also doesn't even run badly or lack content, but blood is green and distant objects obviously look like dogshit.

>nightmare doom
>gba controls
Ok this I would like to see

It's been run on keyboards with lightbars
And run (or at least displayed) on oscilloscopes
And calculators

I fucking loved that game. No idea how many times I beat it in high school.

I'm not asking what's the worst it's been run on. We've long established Doom can be ported to an abacus. What's the worst Doom was still GOOD on?

Ah gotcha, my bad
