>early access exclusives
How mighty have fallen

I didn't even play the first one because it looked like love craft and his books are slow with no payoff.
Dunwich made me so fucking mad dude
>cool half monster man
>a fucking dog kills him and just jogs off like it was nothing
>oh no look his brother is INVISIBLE OOOOOO HES A INVISIBLE GIANT SO SCARY WE KILL HIM WITH WEED KILLER OOOOOO
All of his stories end up just being boring and his fans go off about how it would of been scary back in the day, man its fucking BORING

Unironically based

Dunno about you all, but for me if game's egs exclusive then there's something fundamentally wrong with the game so it's not even worth pirating.
I've already burned myself on Metro Exodus, The Outer Worlds, Rebel Galaxy Outlaw and Hades. Pirated them all, every game turned out to be shit. Never again, I'd rather forget about the game for good.

HOW CAN THIS BE I'M A STEAM LOYALIST GOD DAMN IT GABEN PLEASE FUCK MY ASS

>Seething this much about a man that died so many decades ago and will still be known after everyone will forget you
Kinda sad desu

>DD2
literally what?

>DD2
Who?

>early access
>exclusive

>Hades comes out on EGS as early access
>no one cares
>Hades comes out on EGS
>no one cares
>Hades comes out on Steam after months
>blows up hugely

Releasing on EGS is literally shooting your foot off.

Based and /lit/-pilled.
Just want to break the news for you: Darkest Dungeon did not was written by Lovecraft.

>DD2
Cool Dragon's Dogma 2 got announced
>it's Darkest Dungeon 2
Well shit, the first game got ruined by their own devs.

Darkest Dungeon, I thought it was Dragon's Dogma myself

>seething steam trannies

Well at least I'm not afraid of air conditioning

>Panicked and thought OP meant Dragon's Dogma 2

How quickly the tide turns. Truly I was the Darkest Dungeon 2

Dragon's Dogma 2

No such thing as an Epic exclusive any more

The real reason is all the steam retards who buy early access games thinking they're full releases, play for a week and then never touch it again after leaving a bad review. By releasing on Epic, only people who actually cared about the game bought it in early access, and then it still had a real release where most people got the full game and were satisfied.
This is more about early access being dumb though.

Except you get big load of money from Tim and still get to reap the benefits from early access X months later at Steam.

>Just want to break the news for you: Darkest Dungeon did not was written by Lovecraft.
> Darkest Dungeon did not was written
You alright?

>effectively delay the release of your game for a while and get a few million dollars for doing it
seems like an easy choice

lmao who cares, only came into the thread because I thought it was Dragon's Dogma 2 getting confirmed. Darkest Dungeon is shit.

Just had a stroke, dont mind me

>get payed to release your game on a store that is not used by its primariy user base of fortnite players
>fix it up some more and re-release it on steam with proper advertising
its honestly not a bad idea

I THOUGHT IT WAS FUCKING DRAGONS DOGMA 2 FUUUUUUUUCK

>Muh fortnite launcher shilling thread
lmao, fuck off loser. Absolutely no one cares about EGS anymore.

It's because of the retards who buy the games the second they are available on Steam. You are basically telling them that it's perfectly okay to become a timed exclusive on EGS because you'll buy it later anyway.

capcom higher ups are still upset that Dogma didn't beat skyrim in sales and the free to play mmo didnt take off with japan business workers in their 30 minutes of free time

Thats the idea behind the thread?..

I just hope my boy is as reliable as ever

So I guess the game has generic zombies now.
And we will have the same charactwers again (very creative from their part)
Also, the visuals are not that good, like they tried to put the comic look on the 3d models but it didn't worked out as much as they wanted.
Idk bros, this doesn't look bright anons.
Also, it's only an early access exclusive, or it is exclusive and it's going to release in early access?

Exactly, devs arer fucking nuts or they got greedy.

Thanks Tim, I guess

I thought the same, scared the shit out of me

>3d models
Into the trash it goes

Why would people using EGS be inherently more invested in a game than people using Steam? It was strictly a business decision - Epic paid them to release their game way before it was ready to be released, and then they could have the Steam "launch" later on.

Besides, you realize when the game was released on Steam, it was still in early access, right?

who cares about games that comes out in 2022 this early?

Too many retards fail to understand this.
Buying a former EGS exclusive on Steam is literally rewarding their actions with commercial success and giving them more confidence to go EGS exclusive again next time, because it went so fucking well the first time.

>oh no, not the wine, noooOOOOOOO, AHHHHHH THE WINE AAAHHHHHM A SKELETON JUST SPITTED WINE ON ME! i'M GOING CRAZYY, MY SANITY AHHASHASHGAJS, THE WINE NOOOOOOAFDADJGFASMHDGAJHGDKJHAG!

I don't mind the old characters returning, they have their charm. And i'm pretty sure it's just a cinematic

Does anyone really care though? There are so many clones now: Aria Chronicle, Iratus, Vambrace, Warsaw, Deep Sky Derelicts, you could throw Mistover in there too.
DD might have been a hit when it came out because muh dark souls muh hard game but it's old hat now.

It's useless anyway. Retards bought into DLC, retards bought into EA, retards will buy into EA exclusivity. I'm just waiting for the inevitable exclusive early access DLC with gacha mechanics.

They should milk EGS for cash if it works, you make videogames for cash afterall.

What about risk or rain 2?
That ended up being a great decision .

I have no doubt that it's a great deal for devs and publishers. The problem is I'm neither of these and it's bad for me, the consumer.

>they have their charm
Indeed, they have, but I think it's a lazy ass move, like they are not willing to take risks.
Also, I think the point of the trailer was to show off the 3d graphics of the game, like that's the main point of this teaser, saying that the game will be on 3d, but yeah, maybe you are right.

Same, jeez.

The fuck happened to this tho?

Attached: 75.jpg (1920x1080, 130.76K)

glad i pirated the first one

> The problem is I'm neither of these and it's bad for me, the consumer.
I have no argument as you are right I just wanted to state the obvious to be anoying.

op a fag for making me reply for dragons dogma 2

Epic Games Store? More like the Early Access Store.

>Former EGS exclusive sells great on Steam
>Devs will do the same thing again with their next game
>Former EGS exclusive sells like shit on Steam
>Devs will just skip Steam
It's a lose lose situation.

Based Timmy giving out another free game.

what's DD2? why do you assume normal people know all the abbreviations for retarded niggerloving tranny zoomer gaymes?

Then again, maybe it IS 3D and siht. Who knows, it's too early so best to be wary.

my heart skipped a bit but got sad again when I opened this thread

Attached: 1603227601870.gif (112x112, 26.98K)

This, I got spooked for a bit, but Tim can have his game if he wants.

Attached: 1599680433594.png (683x1024, 1.15M)

This is Zig Forums retard, you should know that the devs of Darkjest Dungeon just dropped a trailer.

Guess I'll pirate it on GOG later then

Pretty much this, developers receive a huge cash and know that once it reaches steam it'll be a success.

The point is that, in any case, it's not looking too bright.
