The only interesting thing about it is that the character is not necessarily a good guy but that's about it
My only assumption was relatively-close future given that there's a main character that grew up with movies released IRL in the last 30 years and is a few hundred years old, and the architecture is still pretty regular, but instead it's actually a far future where most of humanity fucked off from the planet, all magic is technology, there are actual genetically engineered clones walking around the planet and one of them is thousands of years old
